The absolute best bakery in town! My family absolutely loves the pastries and desserts at Patisserie Bechler. Chef Gerard is very talented and puts so much time and effort into making such unique pastries. I have requested several custom orders and the service is always impeccable! I recently ordered two cakes—Black Forest and a Passionfruit Mousse—for my daughters baby shower. The cakes were stunning and delicious, and everyone asked where they were from! We also absolutely love the mini mushroom and broccoli quiches, the mini eclairs and fruit tarts, the Napoleons, and the lunch sandwiches. Everything about this bakery is perfect!
This place is a GO-TO BAKERY! Lunch was very good and the tomato spinach-feta quiche was very soft. The quesadillas were impressive coming from a French restaurant. But the BAKERY!! All of the sweets here are just amazing. Triple chocolate mousse-amazing. Tiramisu-amazing. Just make sure to reserve sweets because they usually run out very quickly. Overall this place is a go-to bakery for locals and tourists! 5/5
First time visiting the area. I was brought here to grab a coffee and a pastry. Variety of pastries to choose from. The seating area has a home garden appeal surrounded by succulent plants. I ordered the blueberry muffin and every single bite was heaven. The crisp top melts on your mouth of deliciousness.Right when I was about to finish - endless amounts of blueberries for the grand finally. The best blueberry muffin I had.
One of my favorite bakeries, the bee hive cake and bear claws are fantastic! Also nice place for having a coffee, cozy atmosphere and great service. Very reasonable prices, too. There's a fast EV charger across the street, very convenient that's how I found the place.
*Exceptional cakes/pastries with French authenticity~ *Efficient, friendly, timely staff~ * & I find the pricing to be fair for something incredibly well made that you simply can’t find anywhere else in these areas! I just picked up my pre order of this beautiful Schuss cake for my French grandmothers 100th birthday & it was perfect! Gorgeous & tasted absolutely amazing! Thank you Patisserie Bechler ~yet again! ~ for making another special event even more special with one of your mouth watering cakes!!!
Great patisserie! We tried the Cream cheese croissant and the spinach and mushroom quiche. They were both delicious! The cafe is beautiful.
Although communication could be improved multiple emails and calls back and forth, the wedding cake and petit fours turned out amazing for my wedding. They were simply delicious! I asked them to bake a cake that was tiramisu flavored but make it look like a wedding cake. You know how tiramisu is...it can be droopy and look sloppy, but the chef worked wonders and recommended a different type of cream base. Highly recommend this place!!!! The only constructive criticism I have is the communication through email and the payment could be simplified. I recommend you go in and talk with them for easier communication! While you are there, get a lemon danish to go...they are delicious.
Fantastic spot with a beautiful view of the bay. Legendary blueberry muffins. All the pastries are solid though. Plus ample room on the patio to chill and enjoy.
The apricot kouign aman was extremely delicious, it almost had a custard bread pudding like texture with apricot jam in the center with a gooey carmelized bottom, very generously sized, definitely something you want to share between two people with coffee. I’ve had this just once before and it didn’t come close, it was really the standout item in our breakfast. Everything you would imagine Christmas morning breakfast would be at least based on our family traditions. Apparently they only make it on Saturday. We arrived right when they opened so they were very fresh. My grandfather who came from German Swiss immigrants would have loved this he would make an Americanized version of their pecan snail which he learned how to bake from his mother. When I asked what they are really well known for I was told it was their blueberry muffins, I didn’t try those because perhaps this is not such a unique thing to have on a vacation where you really hope to find something you couldn’t find at home, THIS was definitely IT! I really recommend you come visit on a Saturday and give this a try think very sophisticated version of a sticky bun. The ham and cheese croissant had extremely delicious cheese. I highly recommend not asking to have it heated up as it returns the croissant to a doughy texture on the inside. Unfortunately there was not much of a selection at 7am just a few trays of muffins and croissants and some beautiful celebration cakes on our first visit, the pastry case was not full like you see in some of the review photos, however on our last visit it was very full including quiche this time! The espresso was fairly good, on some days it was pretty awful so inconsistent experience with their espresso drinks which is why we stopped coming here, I appreciated that they actually used a heat thermometer to avoid scalding the milk the decaf was not as good as the full caf. All the staff wore masks, very professional but not super friendly but perfunctory. Depending on the day selection and staff service will vary.
Went for a coffee in the morning on a Friday. The place is cute not overly crowded. The cakes looked great. The carrot muffin I had was ok. But nothing too special. Prices weren’t bad. For two latte and two pastry 14.50$ I would consider returning
