Bedford Animal Hospital

This place has lost a customer of 20+ years. There is no excuse for not being notified that they are short staffed and having to wait for an hour before finding out they have no idea when my dog can be seen. Would NOT recommend.

This place is amazing and the staff are incredible. Earlier in the month, my dog had gotten hit by a car and we were struggling to find somewhere that would do an amputation. Bedford fit us in, very quickly and very last minute. Two weeks later, she’s walking on her own, no infection, strong sutures in place. Had it not been for this vet office, our dog would have spent an unknown amount of hours or days in excruciating pain. We’d called 9 other offices who couldn’t/wouldn’t see her. Every question and concern we had was explained throughly and clearly, even after we got home. Thank you to the staff who work so hard to provide tremendous service, care and empathy.

Good animal hospital treating all sorts of pets plus livestock. 4 vets plus a surgeon, vet owned practice. Flexible hours and very caring and accommodating. Have a great website with discounts on common supplements like heartworm and flea/tick preventative. Plenty of parking, spacious waiting area, hc parking available and a covered outside waiting room for less socialized animals. Great friendly and knowledgeable staff. Boarding available. Been here well over 20 years. A+ for your animals.

Could not be better. Always attentive and helpful. I never have a problem with my little cockapoo being seen when needed. Today she ate some dark chocolate, which I heard was toxic. I got on the phone, and my fears were put to rest within 10 minutes by a kind and understanding person. Excellent!

Do not take your pets to this place. My stepdad brought our family cat here a few days ago because she was not eating or drinking, was acting very lethargic and had no energy. My family knew something was wrong especially since she was a very young cat. It was an hour before they closed but that was the only time my stepdad was able to bring her. They cared more about closing then they did about our cat. They REFUSED to run any tests on her. They claimed she was “fine” and instructed us to just “wait it out.” A few days goes by and she still wasn’t better. After they refused to see her until Wednesday this week, my mom took her to another vet and after running tests it didn’t take long for them to figure out she had a severe UTI. By the time they realized what was going on and tried to get it under control, it was too late. She’s now dead because of the incompetence of this place. My family is now having to pay 750$ to cremate her for something that COULD have been identified sooner and treated. The other vet office plans for report them for being so incompetent and flat out lazy. The fact this place claims to care about animals after knowing our cat was sick and turning us away because they couldn’t be bothered with taking the time to test her is utterly disgusting. They should be ashamed. They wasted our time, money, and are the reason for our cat’s death.

One of the most thorough and caring vet practices we have had the pleasure of knowing. The standard of care is very high from each staff member. Every animal and person is shown love and compassion! They have provided excellent care for each of our pets and have explained every situation to us in detail. We are very grateful to them... many times over!

When my parents moved to Bedford, they made regular visits to BAH with their anxious, elderly dog. It was a rough situation for everyone, as these relative strangers were asked to provide care for a pet whose health was likely never going to improve, and witnessing Bartlet's decline was hard on all of us. With that said, I'm immensely grateful for everything the staff did for him. They provided excellent, compassionate care, improved his quality of life for months, made time for emergency visits in their busy schedule, and showed us nothing but kindness when I went with my mother to request euthanasia and say our goodbyes. It's been almost a year, and when I think of our last moments with our beloved furry family member, I still appreciate their gentleness with Bartlet and the help they gave us more than I can say.
