This is a great, and free, museum in Belton! There are two floors full of a ton of information, and the one staff member I interacted with was super cool and talkative! I really enjoyed spending some time here. They also have free parking for visitors behind the building.
We definitely enjoyed our visit to the Bell County Museum. We were greeted as soon as we came in and he made us feel welcome. We liked the exhibits very much, especially the one with the early modern era artifacts. It was nice to see that they have interactive activities for the kids in different areas of the museum. They also have a gift store and a library/ research area. Definitely worth a visit when you go to Belton.
A small, cozy museum where staff are kind and helpful. Interesting to see the history of Bell County.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
The museum was great. They had so many things to look at and part of a log cabin too. I like it because it's small yet with interesting stories and miniature house models. They have the quilts. I wish the gift shop wasn't so expensive but hey, it's free to get in so...... Works outVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
I took the grandkids and they loved it. Inspired their interest in the prairie life.
Highly recommend this if you're interested in local history. They have a fantastic bell county exhibit along with a temporary exhibit that changes every now and then. It is free of charge with the option of leaving a donation.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitPrice for adult entryFree
What a surprisingly great experience! All galleries are free and it's a great way to learn some Central Texas history and archeology. The gift shop is worth visiting by itself. They have curated a selection of affordable gifts and their gem and geode prices are half what you'll find elsewhere. Not only do they have a good selection, you can experience breaking open a geode yourself in store. An amazingly fun experience for less than $5.
Great experience! Free, which is always great . Science classes open to the public and different stations for the kids to test . My grandson loved it!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Beautifull exhibits! Pristine facility. Warm welcome, and accommodating for special needs. Also, Thankyou Steve, for your help and information. So glad we made the trip and will enjoy that huge book on our trip back home to Kansas City
Lots of cool stuff here! Clean place lots of things you can get "hands on" with. Not to mention free! Make sure to check out the mustache tea cups.
