Love this camp and the owners are so incredibly nice! Best place I’ve camped -out of many. I’m staying year round till I die lol.Service: 5/5
Beautiful setting, fun activities, great bands and amazing and friendly people! Will definitely return!!Rooms: 5/5
Perfect campground.....owners are very , very accommodating and FRIENDLY. There are a lot of fun activities every weekend. The owners are very nice and appreciate you being part of their campground. Best place to camp in Chautauqua county!! The owners appreciate their seasonal campers AND weekend campers. No attitudes to deal with!!! Playground: Great, large playground Restrooms: Clean Picnic area: Pavilion with picnic tables available
Owners are total bisheros! Greedy Italians that only want money. No joke, except the rules of the pool, the store, and your own personal private conversations. Watch your back yard because the owner Teresa will be stalking you in the woods to listen to your words. There is no professionalism here. Along with barely any entertainment or events happening. This is no where I would recommend to anyone I liked.
Very nice campground with good sized sites. All have full hookups! The owners are very friendly and helpful. Make sure you ask about their store hours, they are limited and broken up during the day, so we had to wait to check in.
Bella Vista didn’t seem very welcoming in my family’s eyes. The people that live on the camp ground or visits every weekend they didn’t welcome us with open arms. They gave us go to hell looks when we said yes ma’am and no ma’am. Everything we did or said at OUR camp sit it was return to the front desk. There was an incident at the Pool and my daughter got blamed on. And the owners took the other people’s word because they’ve been going there for two years. Then while we were on a family outing they were snooping around our camper. Then we had permission to use something of ours and then we go into trouble. These people are not very welcoming people at all. The kids are up right disrespectful and hateful and like to bully 4 year olds. I Guarantee you if you came to our state we would do our 100% best to make you feel welcome and wanted! The shower houses smells so bad like mildew.
We just purchased a trailer that's on a seasonal lot there. wow we could pull the trailer out easily and either go on the road or move to another campground The owners have been amazingly nice. We are so impressed with the campground itself as well as the cleanliness. The owners in their family have just been wonderful and getting us in and ready.
We used Bella Vista Campground as our go-to place in the Jamestown area for three or four years - before they expanded the septic lines. We really liked that quiet, peaceful place but the last time we stayed we discovered the septic connections were simply pipes, six to eight inches above the ground and no effective way to keep your hose secure. When we emptied tanks we had to hand drain our raised hose and manually hold the hose in the pipe and expected it would be changed our next visit. We were surprised this year to call for a site and get no response at all. A week later we called again and were told they had many seasonal applicants and to call closer to our visit. They did give us a 4 night site, one of 5 available. but we were stunned when arrived to find the wide comfortable sites were gone. It resembled a trailer park, a poorly planned one with campers parked helter skelter, making respecting someone's site by not walk through it get to the store or playground impossible , though what we saw of some of the people, they had no clue of that courtesy. The site we usually rented was a back in where we could watch our grand-kids on the playground and the hookups were on the left side where the trailer connections were. This site plus the next one was now a seasonal. The one offered was next to it and we had another unpleasant surprise. Unless we wanted to walk over our water, electric and sewer line, we had to drive our travel trailer in. They had placed 2 or 3 trailers at the “back” side of the sites so to unhook and re-hook, we had to jockey around and our view of the playground was now blocked. That was worrisome as when our 4 and 5 YO grand-kids went to the playground a group of older kids always appeared within minutes. Oh yeah, the septic connections had not been improved on that penny pinching layout. Draining the tanks was still a challenge with a huge potential of messiness. Our visit last year showed that when the campers turned on their air conditioners the voltage dropped to 90 or less volts. That low of voltage will burn up your AC motor so during those hot nights, we had no AC. With the influx of a hundred campers or more, we thought they had taken care of that. We watched our voltage drop from 115 to 109, and it was far too cool for AC those 4 days. They have a nice pool, a midsize pool and I cannot imagine that many campers will be able to fit in that pool. Will that mean swim by appointment or not at all?. I regret that now my only positive reaction to Bella Vista Campground is the staff has always been great, and still seem to be, but the physical arrangement is terrible. We regret crossing this site off our go to list. The exposure we had this weekend to the unusual type of people we had not encountered in our travels, more than 18 states so far, the incredibly low voltage, the penny pinching septic system and the likelihood of swim by appointment has made this campground well below our standard of acceptance and would only return as a last resort.
Had a great time! The people are are very nice and accommodating! Met some very nice people. Nice pool, nice playground. Would definitely go back. My daughter made some friends also.
Owner and her daughter are terrific. Very friendly and accommodating. Camp is quiet and serene. Nice pool. Alot of group activities. This was our first visit and we definitely will be back.
