I really want to love this spa which is so close to my home. The renovation is beautiful. But yesterday, a 30 minute wait for a manicure and pedicure seemed excessive, especially as I had to listen to various unhappy employees trying to sort out their difficulties at the front desk. I finally gave up, feeling less than pampered. While the manager Erin offered a discount for the inconvenience, what we all really want is a nice, soothing soak and that just wasn’t happening.
Belladonna was a great choice for our bachelorette party. The amenities were top notch, massage pricing very reasonable, and we loved the outdoor hot tub and access to the steam rooms. They were very accommodating and allowed some members of our group to simply have access to the hot tub/garden/sauna/locker areas and were not required to get a service. The complimentary champagne in the private room was a wonderful added touch. I would highly recommend for any groups visiting New Orleans and looking for a spa activity. The surrounding area is super cute as well.
I love Belladonna. I've been to it on multiple occasions for various services -- and just to shop the cute gift store. The staff are always courteous and knowledgeable. I recently got a deep tissue massage, which was glorious. The rooms are comfy, but I'm really loving the new relaxation area, sauna, and newly renovated bathrooms/showers. They have a great selection of complimentary drinks if you're getting a spa service. Plus, it's a great place to get a gift. Recommend!
SO glad I decided to stop by Belladonna for a manicure while perusing down Magazine! I had my nails done by Inisha and adored her. She did such a nice job and was so lovely to talk to. And the complimentary mimosa was definitely a plus! The manager, Melissa, came by to check on me during my manicure. Everyone in the spa was incredibly welcoming. After my manicure, I picked up a bath bomb in their retail section. They have so many neat gifts, I wish I’d had more time to look around. I will definitely be stopping back in again soon!
So I’m writing this after giving myself time to reflect and not be hasty in my review, attempting not to post out of anger or frustration. So here goes : the place is great, fun things to purchase and they carry my favorite local nail polish. I’ve been a fan from the first time I walked in. And that’s why I sat on my review. HOWEVER, after the last two special events they hosted and my loyal daughter and I attended - where we were completely ignored. Not greeted, not spoken to, nothing! We had been looking forward to the Fringe & Co trunk show for days. I cannot express how upsetting it was to be ignored while all around us people were being greeted and offered champagne. The kicker was, instead of responding to my comment about it on Instagram, they deleted it. Classy, y’all. Real classy. And it sucks that y’all are such a convenient location for me. But after giving you a second chance we were again ignored at the handbag trunk show. So, yeah. I’m sort of over this place.
Very nice place. It was better than I expected. I arrived about 40 minutes before my Appointment and i was able to enjoy the sauna and hot tub while i wait instead of just waiting unoccupied and think that was very good. My massage therapist "Makeisha" was very good and i Highly recommend her. Im looking forward to returning.
Went and spent the evening with the very capable Zia! I originally went in for a basic facial, and we started to conversation on how I want my skin to look. She was very knowledgeable and offered many spa options. She also took the time to walk me downstairs and show me products and retail clothing. I will certainly be back soon!
I was impressed with the look of the place but their disorganization really ruined my spa day that I had been looking forward to for weeks. The lady who did my facial did great but left me in my room. Ended up wandering around trying to find my way back and met Scott, the man who was going to my massage. He did great. My friend and I were separated the whole time when we were promised at booking we could do most things together. Makeup lady was funny and did fine. Finally, the nail tech. She clearly did not want to be there and it showed on the quality of my nails. Very disappointed.
I thought the place was great. They took us same day for a massage appointment. Solid B on the massage. You get use of the showers and spa/sauna with your service. Tea or mimosa by request. The place was big, super clean and all the people were really great and nice. Highly recommend.
Loving the re-branding!!! Feels like a proper spa experience now. Who ever is managing the spa is really killing it- happy staff, and the spa is always neat and tidy. I have been a client of Scott's for a couple years now. He is a true magician. The massage everyone dreams of- really listens to my areas needing attention. Count me as a client for life!
