The only time I dealt with BPS is when I went to an open house. The realtor is a BP officer. Not just one... I guess it is good for city taxpayers in some ways otherwise you will see 100% of them on the sunshine listcurrently @ 85%. They are short of staff and hiring now. So why bank-robbing while you can join them bankrupting the city in the new 26M headquarter? Apply now!Grade 12 diploma only.
" Do as I say, not as I do" should be their motto on the side of their cars. Total disregard for traffic laws as they speed along, no turn signals, blowing red lights without stopping with siren on, and the list goes on n on. I have called them regarding crime, and they just have an attitude of : take it or leave it. And no, I am not a low budget person in this City either. Just have lost any faith in this " service" to " serve and protect".
Excellent service ! Our truck was stolen last week, and they have been in contact with us, found the cap, but not the truck -yet. Belleville's finest....
Phone operator is useless. The one that worked tonight around 7:30pm March 12/2022. He just hangs up on you when he doesn't like what he hears about his officers. He thinks all his officers are perfect and can't make mistakes which isn't the case. They also have always been very unhelpful & disrespectful any time I've dealt with them for help, been pulled over or whatsoever. It's like they have no respect for people and are above the law despite us having the utmost respect for them.
My experience with the Belleville Police Service has always been excellent. Men, women and dogs working to keep our city safe. Through my interactions with schools, volunteer work many officers going above and beyond, safety village, kids fishing days, winter outerwear collection. We are fortunate to live in a low crime area because of the work of this team. I for one am very grateful for the dedication and care they put on the line for me and my family. Think differently? You only have to visit or live in other places in the world. We are so fortunate. Keep up the great work Belleville Police Service.
So we have homeless people taking over our town centre With pop up tent cities. We have grocery stores selling beer to the drunk”s at 7:00 AM. METRO ON NORTH FRONT STREET BELLEVILLE ! Come get your beers! This town is out of control and has NO police!! Come one come all do what you want and get away with it! Welcome to Belleville!!! It’s true NO POLICE!!
Disappointed. When will the police & housing start working together instead of passing the buck off on each other. It is not safe when housing refuses to be part of the cctv camera access.
It’s my bad luck that We had to deal with Belleville police few times. Our car got stolen we filed an complaint but they I never saw them taking any interest in our issue. When it comes to issues like stolen things, scams, fraud I never saw them taking these seriously. But when it comes to giving traffic tickets they are very expert.
Anytime I have ever dealt with the Belleville police regarding a theft/scam they have been very unhelpful, uninterested in helping. Unfortunately they are very interested if you are going over the speed limit, or if people choose not to wear their seatbelt, which in my opinion possess no safety concern to anyone but yourself, and should be your own choice. I personally always wear my seatbelt, but if for whatever reason an adult would choose not to it should be their choice. They don't have time to look into anything that doesn't involve losing major money, probably because they are out stalking motorists to see if their wearing seat belts or over the speed limit a bit. I have lived in Belleville my whole life and it's sad that's how I feel!
Was just directed to perform an illegal manoeuvre by a member of the police in car 10-12 Sidney & Moira, Oct 23 at 13h45, because he was not paying attention when he was supposed to be directing traffic. Maybe its cause I'm from the big city, but I actually expect officers who are supposed to direct traffic to do their jobs and not force motorists to back up into an intersection because they were too busy socializing. This is not the first time I've observed officers chatting with construction workers instead of actually directing the flow of traffic. Tried to call to file a complaint and their phone line repeatedly hung up on me. Next time I'll just call the media, I'm sure they'd be interested.
