Great customer service, very knowledgable staff, and extremely engaging owner. If you are looking for a holiday maternity dress, maternity and nursing basics, such as bras, panites, camisoles, yoga pants and work out clothes, baby strollers that you can touch and feel, car seats, high chairs, baby clothes and baby necessities this is the place to visit. Their baby clothing selection is unique, so if you are looking for Carters, they do not have it. They do carry Kicky Pants a wonderful, soft bamboo fabric that stretches and grows with your baby so your sleepers will last longer than the 3-6 month fit. This is a store definately worth the trip to Edmonds. While you are there stop in for lunch at Chantrelles and pick up a gift at Terri's Toy Box, next door to Belly & Co. Happy Holiday shopping.
Just shopped at Belly & Co with a totally positive experience. Needed to buy a last minute stocking stuffer for a newborn so was not spending a lot of money but received amazing help with lots of suggestions within my price range and absolute patience while I dithered a bit before making a decision. Must say that though I wasn't deterred by Megan Hauk's negative review, after having such a positive experience I feel compelled to support a new local merchant by sharing my thoughts. I found it hard to believe Megan's statements about having been a merchant herself when she didn't hesitate to walk out the door even only a step or two with merchandise and without explaining her intention prior to the store staff. Had she done so I am sure they would have accommodated her in some way. Never having been a merchant myself, I wouldn't consider opening the door with merchandise in my hand. I shared these thoughts with the owner and learned that when Megan came in the store was having a private event after normal store hours and still they asked if they could help her - which she refused. I feel badly for anyone having an unpleasant experience but would hate to see a negative review have an untoward effect on a nice retail addition to charming Edmonds.
Looking for niche baby clothes, toys and accessories -- this is the place. They carry those bamboo sleep sacs that help regulate your baby's temperature so they don't get too cold in the night. This shop has all sorts of great finds.
I forgot to buy a gift for a coworker on the day of the baby shower. I found a very cute gift set with organic cotton blanket and toy animal. It was cute, but super expensive. The whole shop is cute, but super expensive.
This is my first time ever writing a poor review on a business, but tonight's experience shook me enough that I actually feel compelled to spend my time on this. Also, I'm a small business owner and I have over 10 years of retail experience in boutiques to pull from. I've frequently stopped into this cute, little store for the last 7 years, but tonight I had an unfortunate experience that will keep me from ever buying anything from them again. My son was sleeping in the car so I parked him and my husband right outside to pop in during some kind of after hours event to grab some bibs real quick. They don't carry the bibs we like, but they had a cute raincoat so I stepped outside for a few seconds to ask my husband if he wanted me to show him, came back into the store, then showed him the coat through the window. I couldn't tell his reaction, so I opened the door to stick my head out to him and as soon as I had the door open, the lady who had greeted me tries to grab the raincoat from me, and exclaims, "give me that!" with a ton of adrenaline. First of all, I'm dressed nicely tonight, my boots alone are over $300, so I'm more than likely a customer who is not going to steal a $50 item from you, in plain sight, right in front of you and about 15 other people. 2nd of all, you're located in Edmonds, Wa. Are you really having problems with people walking out of your doors in front of your face, while holding a large item and stealing it in plain sight? If so, I suggest that you go about your loss prevention in a different way than you are now. 3rd of all, you're a baby store. You are likely going to have more people in that neighborhood doing what I did tonight and I suggest you approach them with a kind manner so you don't lose their business, too. In fact, I took my cue on what I did tonight from a little children's boutique in Laurelhurst, where a sales associate told me moms are always doing what I did at your store tonight. 4th of all, if I am stealing the raincoat in plain sight like that, I'm more than likely prepared to fight you for it and win, so again, you might want to reconsider your approach so that you are not putting yourself in danger over a $50 item. Your apology sounded insincere and pathetic and made me feel like I was the one who did something wrong. Tonight we made our last purchase at your store and for the first time ever, I sadly followed through on a negative review of a business.
The lady I spoke with was not very helpful and had a rude tone to her voice. She basically dismissed my issue despite when I just bought more than $500 item at their store and said this was not their problem, but the manufacturer's. Even though the store assembled my product and I came across a defect, they said they could not do anything about it.
