It’s a beautiful state park with nice beach to enjoy water during summer! We went with out two kids and all of us enjoyed a lot. It is crowded definitely in summer weekends but you can easily find a spot for you. Specious enough! We saw People enjoy doing picnic here as big groups, families and also couples Bathrooms are clean and changing area available men/women separated. We didn’t find showers, but it was not a big deal as it’s lake water not like salty sea water. We definitely go back again! P.S. it seems there are great trails which we can go with kids. For next time!
we were staying in AIRBNB nearby and my wife found this park "attraction near me". this state park has to offer something for every age group. Picnic, swimming in lake, BBQ, park, kayaking, Jet skiing, etc...seems like There’s no shortage of outdoor adventure in the Pocono Mountains just over an hour from Philadelphia, it is popular with those who enjoy exploring the great outdoors. visitors can enjoy more than 500 feet of sandy shoreline along Beltzville Lake. This swimming beach is open during the summer months, from Memorial Day to Labor Day, from 8:00 a.m. to sunset. much of the park is centered around a beautiful lake, providing plenty of opportunities for fishing, swimming, boating, picnic, and hiking. As Beltzville State Park is a day-use recreational facility, no camping is available onsite.
This review is concerning the boat launch part of Beltzville as it does not involve consumption of E.coli infused water. Beautiful lake. Easy access. Even when busy there is space to launch kayaks and canoes. A lot of powered vehicles. Wakes are fun in canoes. A lot of wildlife. Worth checking out!!! Picnic area: Open green areas available.
Many campsite options both right on the water and off into the peaceful woods. Plenty of parking and public restrooms, picnic areas, cabins, larger group/event space, and a beautiful lake.
This lake has no entry fee and expect to be stopped and checked by the park rangers when entering. I like to come here. It is a nice and beautiful lake. My biggest issue is the bathrooms, especially the women's. It's so gross. The line to get in the bathroom is extremely long. It can be hard if you have small children who don't want to wait. They should have another restroom site. Some people that are there don't like to throw away their trash, which is a shame because it is a nice lake. The park rangers and staff do their best to keep the place clean and hospitable. You'll hear a lot of Spanish music. I don't mind, I'm Hispanic and I enjoy the music. I don't have to bring my Bluetooth speaker. Restrooms: The women's bathroom is disgusting. There are long lines to get in. Picnic area: There are picnic areas in the forest area with grills.
Beautiful nature trails to walk, along the lake. A nice variety of Butterflies and migratory birds visits there. I enjoy walking around here all seasons.
Great paddle from Preacher's Camp up the Wild Creek to the falls! The shores are lined with hemlock and the rock is mostly slate. It is about a mile and a half paddle one way.
Had a great time fish. Generally very peaceful back in the creek arms where I fished except for the occasional pontoon boater blasting hip hop.
Beautiful well maintained park. The bathrooms were clean and the beach area was so fun to play around with the little ones!
Grew up near here and have always loved the area. There are more trails than before and many are suitable for people with dogs and kids. At the main site there are a few bird blinds and a very small naturey play area. They used to have a playground but no longer. Lots of Pokemon if that's your thing. Nice soccer fields and picnic areas. Seasonal volleyball, boat rental is available. I've only seen the educational building open once a year. Outside of the main area there are two boat launches, one with a handicapped kayak put in. Fishing is allowed off of boats or along the shore -no dock fishing. During holidays and summer season they close off the trails outside of the main area because excessive picnicking and resultant excessive traffic, litter, and noise pollution has caused damage to the ecosystems and trails. Swimming is only allowed seasonally at the beach which is sandy, however there are no lifeguards posted. Please don't try to swim if you don't know how and don't jump off cliffs -there can be large boulders you can't see. Those two activities have claimed the lives of many people over the years. No alcohol is allowed anywhere. I don't think they have a concession stand during the busy season. They used to when I was young. Nowadays most locals avoid Beltzville during the summer and holidays.
