I'm partial to Benjamin Franklin so I'm just going to keep it 100% my review of this location is probably going to be skewed to the positive. That said I loved it! There were a lot of entertaining and interactive exhibits that really take you to Franklin's time and help you understand how he became the founding father that he was. You get to see where he lived and much of what he created. I just thoroughly enjoyed it and the price point was lovely to it's one of the least expensive museums in Philadelphia.
We stayed here for 2 hours! We had a great time here. Especially my 8 yo son loves it so much. Not only seeing but also stimulating the brain. There is a lovely, cozy gift store on the first floor too! Must-visit!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
Nice outdoor experience to see the homes and places built by Franklin. The museum is nice and full of historic information.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$6–10

Really enjoyed this museum. There was lots of information, it was interactive. Had stuff for kids to enjoy. It was $5 for an adult admission. I took my time as my schedule wasn't pressing. But you can see it all in about an hour. Outside was cool also, as it had areas that he built up/walked every day.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
We didn’t go through the actual indoor museum because it was about to close when we got there since it was Sunday and not everyone in our group wanted to see it, but the outdoor part was super cool! It showed different stone fragments of Ben Franklin’s house and a map of where you were in his house. It also had pavers here and there with quotes from some of his writings on them. Beautiful little plaza too. Lots to see and places to sit. Quiet and away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the city. I hope to go back and see the indoor museum soon. It was only $5 to go in.
This is a beautiful, well curated museum that flies under the radar. Its not super pricey or exceedingly long. I would say my daughter and I took about 2-3 hours to explore everything through the museum. There are about 4 rooms that teach you how he thought as a person, what he did, what he went through, amd what kind of person he really was. It's fascinating and kid friendly. My daughter loved the interactive parts of the exhibit the most. At least 20 min. Playing the armonica. So much to see but not overwhelming. Definetly recommend
Okay, this museum was kind of disappointing. I'm a Benjamin Franklin fan and this gives you a good overview/ history of his life, but it was kind of anticlimactic and not that nice. If you are a super fan of Ben Franklin, I'm sure you'll enjoy it, but otherwise if you have a busy schedule, this is one you can skip. On a positive side, admission is only five bucks. So if I think for five bucks it's pretty decent. But again, something you can skip if you're short on time. I've included some pictures and videos. Please note that in my assessment I am grading on a full 5-star scale and do so with an implicit price-value curve. I am aware that many others on social media may grade on a 3-point 4 being an average score or 2-point scale 4 being a poor score, but the fact remains that Google gives us a 5-point scale. To me, 4 stars is great, 3 stars is average and 5 stars should be rare - reserved for true excellence or near perfection.
Nothing out of this world, however, stopping by to have a look. The museum costs $5 and for that price I think it is worth it. You get to learn about Benjamin Franklin and his inventions. The museum is quite interactive which is always great. Outside you can see the basic layout of what his house would have been. Of course it's just a few white poles to show the structure but still cool.
It was very family friendly and not very busy. I loved walking on the cobblestone pathway to the museum. It was kind of hidden, I almost walked right past it. There were a lot of interactive activities for kids of all ages. I spent a little over an hour just exploring!
