Shout out to Chef Tim. I went to Benihana in another state and didn't enjoy it. This one had great reviews so I had my birthday dinner there. Food was actually good and the chef was entertaining. Will go backFood: 5/5
April 2023 Original: Terrible terrible terrible. Had reservations. Didn’t get seated until 1.5 hours past our reservation and didn’t start having food prepared until 2 hours in. The carpet Is NASTY NASTY Sticky; reminded me of nasty carpet found at skating rinks. Bathroom was a disaster see photos. Space was hot and not cool. The poor workers are sweating up as storm. No apologies offered by what looked like the owners. They have 22 tables but only 5 chefs. It’s a terrible situation. The meal service provided was great but way more expensive than the value relieved. July 2023 Update: as the restaurant recommended, I went online and left feedback. I most certainly checked the box for them to contact me. I was never contacted I provided my number and email. Nothing. Absolutely will never visit this hole in the wall. By the Benihana does not listen, contrary to their website name.
The hibachi chef was entertaining. The food was ok. The waitress was a bit pushy and aggressive when it came time to tip. I was sat near something that was making a god-awful noise. Which was terrible because I already can't hear HoH, and trying to hear over that noise was impossible. It worsened the experience. One of the chairs was stained with food, which left me to believe the staff didn't clean all that well.
The food was really great! I got the spicy chicken with double rice. The waiter was friendly. The cook was funny and he was very clean before and after! The price was very reasonable for the amount of food. I will returnFood: 5/5
I ordered online the chili shrimp roll and the edamame. I paid extra for the spicy mayo and eel sauce. I only got one and it was a small cup and 1/4 of the way filled. For $20 the sushi had no cream cheese literally just rice rolled and the shrimp and crab on top. Because it’s so spicy the cream cheese is needed to balance it out. The edamame was amazing. The service going in was good just wish I got my money’s worth.
BAD MANAGEMENT!!!!!We had a reservation for 6:30 and at 8:00 we had not received drinks yet. The table we arrived at was dirty and food was on the floor. The table was full of flies. We complained to the manager and he told us to leave if we didn’t like it and was very rude. We had two groups of six and they would not set us near each other and there was plenty of empty tables.
I am unsure of why the manager called during a holiday at almost 4:10 pm? But I requested that I be called after the holiday for employment. I have NEVER been employed for this restaurant and had to repeat that twice. I hope you find what you are looking for and you all receive better reviews. I am watching TV and preparing for other interviews no one has called me today about a job and started a prompt phone interview. I'm sure you heard the TV in the background and I had explained Friday I was out of town. Thank you!
It was my first time visiting Benihana..I must say everything on our table was delicious.The soup was the best I've ever had. Our service was exceptional..Chef Eric was by far the coolest,most attentive and fun Guy. He cooked his food with love. And might I add,the Peach Saki socked it to me. The wait was a little long to be seated. But it was well worth the wait. Definitely a go to when I visit Memphis again.

Bad quality food, sushi is not good, took about 2 hour wait when they told us around 30 minutes, both me and my wife felt sick when we got home. The waiter was very nice though and kept checking up on us
