So delicious, and the customer service is fantastic!!!!! If you're a fan of Jewish Deli food, you will not be disappointed!!!! The sandwiches are fantastic. We had pastrami on rye and corned beef on rye! YUMMY! The matzo ball soup was delicious! The chicken in the soup is super fresh and yummy!!!!!!! Oh, and the cole slaw is fabulous! Kid-friendliness: The server asked our youngest if she wanted to color! So super sweet!!!!! Parking: Easy parking! Dietary restrictions: My kids have severe nut allergies. The restaurant was able to accommodate!
I cannot believe that I haven’t been here yet and the food is amazing! I usually go to Palm Springs and the deli there by a different name but so glad that I know I can get the cabbage soup more locally at Bengies. They didn’t have the pastrami and sauerkraut sandwich that I like to order but I was advised I could substitute the corn beef for pastrami on the Reuben sandwich, and had the sauerkraut and mustard. Excellent choice. My friend had the chicken fried steak, smothered in gravy with mashed potatoes and a side of rye bread, and it looked delicious.
Food is outstanding here! Have been driving by this place for years! Somehow got a job across the street from here so decided to try it. Place was busy so service was a bit slow. The triple decker sandwiches are fantastic. Will be back soon.Food: 5/5
Been looking for a good deli in OC for years and finally, I found one thanks to my girlfriend. We came in for breakfast on a rainy day and was this was exactly what we needed. Delicious tender pastrami and a bagel, a side of eggs and hashbrowns were perfect. I'm excited to come back for a sandwich in the future. A true gem in oc. We'll be coming back.
I hope the "NY" in their name stands for North Yorba Linda and not New York. This is only a figment of a New York deli restaurant. Perhaps it's good enough for SoCal but don't expect NYC dishes. Knishes are not on the menu and there is no pickle bar. The sandwiches were ample in size but dry inside. If you are trying to rekindle your fond memories of deli foods back East without paying for the plane ticket there, then look elsewhere.
This place is underrated. The food is always good, hot, and fresh. Big portions. Delicious bread from their bakery.Food: 5/5
The food is closer to a New York deli then most places here in California and the service was superb. The overall quality of the food was marvelous and they even had a full bar so you could order it drink if you wanted to and if you're down. In the Costa Mesa area I recommend this place quite highly if you wanna have a very nice lunch or. Dinner or even Sunday brunch you will not be disappointed. Food on point, one of my favorite places for that taste. My baklava was a little disappointing as it was made with a simple syrup instead of honey. Can't complain about anything else as it was "ALL GOOD"!
I was driving towards my favorite lunch spot, when I decided to give this place a tryout, at the beginning I was dissatisfied by the greeting personal that took me to my table as didn't even say hi to me, anyways after I was assigned to Judith everything was way better, great customer service, very professional and she was on top of everything, I was served French toast and a delicious hamburger and of course a nice cup of coffee and a plate of soup. The price is kinda high but it was worth it, they also sell jam on their deli department by the pound. Very nice spot to try a good sandwich a delicious omelet with a good atmosphere and service.
Step into this joint and be instantly transported to another era. Like the early 70s. The ambiance is such you almost expect its patrons to be smoking while they have their coffee and pastrami sandwich. Bring a wallet and an appetite both of them should be large enough to accommodate. I had a tuna melt, tasted great and chili cheese fries. I like that the chili cheese fries has crinkle potatoes. Portions are huge, so a couple bucks by sharing. Service was great.
