We love Benson's Pet Center. We've been coming here for years. My husband mentioned, in passing, that we had to put our cat down on 7/5/2023. We just received a hand-written card from the employees at the Clifton Park location. Thank you so much for the kind words. It really touched my heart knowing people care. We love coming here. This is our main store for ALL our dogs' needs. They carry the healthiest food around, large treat aisle & toys. We use Fromm and have always had the best of luck with no skin or stomach issues. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.
Benson's is a fantastic place to get pet supplies! I shop here and their Colonie location for dog and cat supplies. They have a wide variety of brands and products as well as an incredibly friendly and smart staff!
This store is so great. I mentioned a few weeks ago that one of my cats goes through a ton of a very specific food they didn't carry very much of. I went to buy more yesterday and they had about ten cases in stock. The team here really cares and goes above and beyond for their customers and I appreciate them so much.
My partner and I were preparing to bring our rescue dog home -- our first dog together and our first time being primary owners of a dog -- when we wandered into Benson's. We couldn't be more glad we chose this place over a larger chain! They had nearly everything we needed we adopted a BIG dog, so some things couldn't be found in a store and were very friendly and helpful. The customer service was outstanding! They answered the countless questions I had with a smile on their faces. Harris an employee single-handedly made me a loyal customer. He was so patient and kind and knowledgeable. He even jumped our car when it died on the first visit!! When I came back to buy more things for the pup and thank him again, he made my second shopping experience even better, walking me through everything and making me feel so prepared to be a pet parent! It was actually one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had. His manager Lauren was amazing as well! Those two answered a lot of questions for me and were so incredibly nice. This experience really added to the excitement of adopting our baby, so I'm very appreciative. Give Harris and Lauren a raise!!!
Benson’s saved my saved my life! Okay, I’m exaggerating but really, made both me and our cat happy again. Our cat loves a particular dry cat food that I was having no luck finding in all the usual stores, online and B&M, that I shop at. This was the making for a grumpy cat who was wondering, ‘Where is my favorite food!’ I remembered my daughter talking about Benson’s near her and tried my luck again. Jackpot!
Great selection for all your pet needs! They also did have cats, guinea pigs etc up for adoption. Also a nice selection of fish. The staff was very friendly and you could tell they were animal lovers. Perhaps I missed it, but it looked like you could only buy wet cat food in individual tins, not in bulk.
I love the place and it's because of the great and knowledgeable people who work here. I'm a new customer and I was surprised by all their stock. So important that I found it .... to feed my pup the best !!! Thank you
Great location for all your pets needs, big or small they got it all! Two locations in Clifton Park and Colonie, NY. Oh, and Don't forget to say hello to the green parrot who is very talkative when ignored that stands guard behind the front register at the Clifton Park, NY store. Both locations will allow you to bring your pets in for grooming or just to get out of the house and take a ride to a fantastic pet store. Highly recommend if you need pet supplies of all varieties.
Great staff and they always have what I need. They will also order or do a store transfer if something is out of stock. Loyal customer for over 10 years.
