We stayed here almost a month following our daughter & son-in-law kayaking down the Missouri River. Very nice campground & wonderful people running it. Pet friendly, gravel sites with lots of grass. Laundry on site. , within walking distance to town. Full hookups.
The customer service has been excellent. Especially because we have had an advance need to book sites early. We have stayed in the past & look forward to this year's stay in a delightfully small community.
We were in town but found no place to stay. Everything was full due to harvest season. Wonderful owner work some numbers and managed to fit our 2 rvs in. Great job, thank you. Our favorite place to stay near Fort Benton. Clean facilities.
Nice small, quiet park. Friendly owner. The sites can be a bit tight and the landscaping could use some work but overall our stay was pleasant. We would stay again.
Nice facility. Pretty small spots though. If someone has their slide out, and your awning is out, there is NO room for anything else outside. Also had tons of yellow jackets in my spot. The host did lend me a power adapter since the spot was 50 amp and my trailer is 30 amp.
The lady owner is very pleasant and showed us to our site and made sure we were set up comfortably. Our site with gravel and wood border was level and long. Utilities worked well. But the park needs some attention! Lots of weeds, little or no shade for most sites, less than appealing views of trucks, old tires, dumpster and seasonal workers RVs. This is a gravel road and industrial area so the dust flies when trucks go by. Old lumber and junk in the area of the restrooms. Did not use restrooms since they were locked COVID? There are many things that could be done to make the park more attractive. The photos and description on their website are less than accurate. Luckily, the small historic town has many nice and interesting features to keep us occupied.
This is a smaller campground in an industrial area. It was, however, very quiet. Full hookups were available. Wifi was good. Friendly owners. Sites were somewhat rustic and seemed a little disorganized. Still in all an alright place to stay.
Not impressed with campground. We had set up reservations to be there most of summer do to work. Our reservation was made well in advance of summer campers. The site they gave us, caused our sewer line to be in a walking path of the cabins around it, which ended up being stepped on several times by the custom cutters as they party thru the night. Even tho, we had made our advance reservation in February, we were given a site that we could not open our awning, and on a spot that was not level. Included in the group of contractors that were in this campground this summer was a group of Hispanics. This folks did nothing wrong but the campground owners took a dislike to them that showed their discrimination they have for that nationality. Also, upon time to check out, the owners doubled the check out fee from what should be about 85 dollars to 175. One more thing, they do advertise having wifi, but that is a joke. The internet service could not even handle something as simple as a basic google search before dropping off. In order to have a working internet service, we had to open an account with Triangle Communications and then we were able to use the internet to watch movies and to use our search engines. My recommendation, if your Hispanic, find a different campground, and if you are going to be long term campers, get it in writing on how they will charge you out when you leave.
Called in February for reservation. Got to campground and was given a lot on the side of a hill. Couldn't open awning because of a power pole in the way. Then when harvest time arrives, I get a crew of custom cutters parked alongside. Wild bunch coming and going. Crushed my sewer line, unplugged internet service etc...
Small RV park right off the highway. Very quiet. We enjoyed it due to the history here. There are 4 museums to visit so if you are interested in Montana history as we are, this is the place to be for at least 3 or 4 days. Lewis and Clarks Point of Discovery location is upriver about 10 miles. There is an agricultural museum as well as a replicated fort with all kinds of Indian artifacts as well as the fur trappers historical items. The National Upper Missouri River Breaks Interpretive Center museum is here with Chief Josephs rifle that he surrendered at the end of the Nez Perce War. Theres an old hotel that the steamboats used to bring passengers to. Interpretive signs all along the riverfront telling of its history. Gem of a little town and about an hours drive to Great Falls to the Lewis and Clark Interpetive Center and Giant Springs State Park right next door which are also must sees!
