Berczy Park
"Berczy Park is a 3,606 square metre public park located in the triangle of land between Wellington, Front and Scott streets, across the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts. The space has been a public park since 1980, before which it sat vacant or served as a parking lot. Over the last few years, the City of Toronto has been working closely with the local community to plan the revitalization of the well-used and well-worn park. The park is named after William Berczy, a German-born architect, surveyor, and writer often considered a co-founder of modern Toronto with John Graves Simcoe. Berczy was also a painter, most famous for his portrait of Mohawk chief Thayendanegea Joseph Brant.Read more on the website."

This is a beautiful mini park to bring your kids and family. It has a cute dog fountain where you can take photos with your kids. It has plenty of tables and benches where you can sit, eat and relax. It has this cute and romantic vibe.
The park is too small but has an excellent fountain where water flaws from upwards from dog's mouth. Good seating arrangement. All sides are open. So one can enter and exit from any side. At the end there is a building with an excellent iconic building with peculiar elevation. It looks like a cloth over the wall.
Amazing park in the day and also at night. We love going by here to sit and watch the fountain in the summer. There are tables and chairs along with benches for sitting, chilling, hanging out with friends, or just some alone time to be with Self. There are also green areas where you can have a picnic and lots of restaurants and stores nearby. The overhanging trees provide welcoming shades on a sunny day. And, of course, our pet friends are the highlight of the area. Dog-friendliness: Well the fountain says it all. It's dog heaven. Picnic area: Enjoy the tables, chairs, and benches or bring a blanket for the grass.
A small yet beautiful park in downtown Toronto with an amazing fountain surrounded by dog statues. We saw so many people with their pets at this little park cats too!. We walked here on our way to the Old Spaghetti Factory on the Esplanade.
The fountain is a hit or miss. Depending on time they might or might not have water flow on the fountain. There’s an interesting building with mural. Sometimes it can get crowded quite a bit. Overall a good square and a touristy spot in the middle of downtown. Good coffee shops nearby.
A very beautiful park next to Hockey Hall of Fame! The park is small yet it is quite artistic. The most eye catching is the big wall painting where I can see it at Yonge Street when I am on the way to Hockey Hall of Fame. Therefore I decide to pay a visit after HHOF. When I enter the park, I am surprised by the very lovely dog statues fountain. There are many seats in the park, a very nice park in downtown area! Must visit!
A beautiful fountain that keeps you entertained with the different dog breads it’s decorated with and a single cat ! The bone on top is sort of the cherry on top where all the dogs are looking at and aiming for with the water coming out their mouths. Love it! Dog-friendliness: It’s definitely a place to bring your dog to, as it has on its bottom edge a loop filled with water for dogs to get refreshed during hot summer days!
This park is an absolute gem in the heart of downtown. With the greenery, the fountain, and the well renowned piano man on weekends, this is a true getaway from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Grab a coffee from the many cafes nearby, meet up with a friend for brunch at the many brunch spots, go to the thrift store close by, and there you have your morning weekend activity.
In old toronto pictures you can still see how was to have this block covered by an ugly parking lot. Since it became a park this green space brings to the neighbourhood a much needed oasis. Very popular with the people working downtown as well as with the locals this little park became a hot tourist spot mainly because of the dog fountain that is central to the place. Kids adore it as well. Definitely a must see in downtown Toronto.
Small and Dainty area in Downtown. Reminds of me of meet cute scenes in movies The dogs in the fountains is just amazing plus the view of the cn tower
