I had several injections and a radio frequency ablation with Dr. Chamberlain and the young ladies that are always assigned to me,Jackie and Heather, are two of the most kindness, patient, caring nurses that one could ask for! You can tell this is who they are which makes this profession a perfect fit for them. They help make the time go by while waiting. They deserve to be acknowledged. Dr. Chamberlain’s surgery staff are just as kind, professional, and caring,, which helps me get through the procedures with a comfortable and trusting feel. Of course along with Dr. Chamberlains love for his profession and patients, I couldn’t have asked for anything more. Ohio Health make sure to do everything you can to keep these individuals for they are an asset
So I grew up about 30 miles away but recently my father had a robotic colectomy here. I came from out of state to take him to surgery not knowing what to expect. I have lived in Southern California, Dallas, and many other places, and have been in hospitals in all, unfortunately. Have to say the Doctor was fantastic and the nursing staff was firing on all cylinders. Someone came to check on us every half hour to hour, charge nurse introduced herself and told us her expectations for her nurses and that we were to alert her if not being met. There was no danger of that because they were all on point. Impressed.
I had a lumbar epidural transforaminal injection at Berger Hospital with Dr. Malinowski. The staff was wonderful and caring along with Dr. Malinowski. I am not going to say the injection was not painful, but everyone took good care of me. Now I pray that this injection does its job!
I've been to Berger two times recently. Both times to see Dr. Malinowski. Once for a surgical procedure, the other for a follow up. I live in Dublin, Ohio so it was the earliest appts I could get to see the Doc. First, I'd drive basically anywhere to be treated by Dr. Malinowski, what a terrific Dr! OhioHealth/Berger, keep doing what you folks do, it's a bang up job from my view. I would be remiss if I didn't mention Heather, she is Dr Malinowskis PA I believe, at any rate, what a terrific person for her position. Very knowledgeable, to the point, but with great care and terrific personality along with her Healthcare skills.
Brought my asthmatic child to the ER was quickly brought into triage to only have his vitals took and to be seated back into the waiting room for so far going on two hours. No one has even checked his breathing or listened to his chest since we have been here.
I just heard that they are doing away with health benefit clinic for school employees, their employees, city employees! This is very upsetting!! So now when we are sick, we have to wait to get into doctor. Go to their ER and pay over $700 for a sick visit!! So much for them being for our community
Went in today with an infected tooth. I sat in triage for over 30 minutes while the nurse went to “find someone”. Finally a doctor came in, took one look in my mouth, told me my obviously infected tooth looked great, but that she was going to send antibiotics and pain medication to my pharmacy. I get to the pharmacy and they only sent over a prescription for antibiotics. This is not the first time they have told me I’d get pain medication and then not followed through either. Also, everyone is very rude, does not call me by the correct name even though it is in my chart. I will NOT be going back to Berger ER. This is the last time I will be told I’m going to get help and then not get help. My business will be taken somewhere I’ll actually get help next time. 1 star is too generous for this place.
This place was awful. Went there after an unexpected hemorrhage started again on my way home from OSU. The only good thing about this visit was how fast I got back and the room. The staff, with the exception of two nurses, were rude. The doctor, Dr. Yost, was rude and unprofessional. They were basing their information off of records from 2-3 years ago instead of what I was telling them and then tried forcing a treatment plan on me that would’ve put me more at risk. I got nothing but attitude when I expressed concern for my treatment and for not wanting to be stuck unnecessarily since I’d already had bruised arms from my prior hospitalization. I was admitted over night then when I asked for transport up to OSU due to not feeling confident in the care I was receiving I was told that the doctor didn’t have time for me and I’d have to wait hours for her to see me and approve transportation. All the while my hemoglobin was actively dropping continuously due to the bleeding. I had to drive myself 40 mins north as I was losing blood. Very dangerous and neglectful on the hospitals part. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
Caitlin down in the "pain management" clinic shouldn't even be in the position she is in. If you are looking for pain management go else where. I've been thru physical therapy 3 times, 6 injections, and see a chiropractor for my injured back and the best she can do to help control my pain is "suboxone" her and every other doctor ove dealt with there are extremely unprofessional.she followed Mr into the hallway because I said I didn't want to make a follow up appointment with her, that I was done and wanted a different opinion, and literally yelled at me that if I walk out without making an appointment she will terminate me as a patient. I made sure she meant that I would no longer show up as her patient in any system, and she said yes.i said that's fine as I want to go somewhere else anyway and she was not happy with that answer. You don't yell at your patients and you sure as heck don't make a scene in the hallway and yell at someone.she had my 9 year old terrified
Berger use to be so fast especially the ER. Now they are terribly slow and all over the place since they switched to Ohio health. I went last night to the ER for abdomen pain. I was waiting in the waiting area for 2 1/2 hours before I even got checked in as arrived and my vitals done. They sent me back to the waiting area and another hour goes by. I finally got to speak to an RN I "believe" about my symptoms. She draws blood right there in the waiting room where they check for vitals and sent me back to wait again. CT tech comes out to the lobby to get pictures done. They tell me the results she be done in about 30 min. Ok I go back and another hour goes by I'm sick of it and just leave without discharge papers. Random nurses not even calling out my name pointing at me to come here and then leaving me hanging like I'm not important. No beds available, they said they could put me in the hallway in a bed but never got back to me. I never even spoke to a single doctor. Literally the most UNPROFESSIONAL hospital and staff ever. Most of the staff looked like they was tired of us patients and didn't care. The waiting area was dirty as well with trash everywhere. Id rather drive 30 extra min to go to another hospital.
