Berrien County VFW Post 5978 is one of the most active units in the state. Member meetings are held on the third (3rd) Thursday of each month at 7 pm. Free membership meal is served after the meeting.
On Saturday nights, the post dance hall has a live band featuring Gene Turner and the Razen Kain Band. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the public is welcome. Admission is $7.
VA Hospital bus service: The VFW offers free transportation for veterans to the VA Hospital in Lake City, Florida every Thursday. Bus departs Nashville City Hall at 7 am with stops at the Adel Police Dept., Ray City Bank, and the Lakeland Court House. Contact Bob Battle for more information at 229-686-9169.
