When I was there there wasn't really a weight. They called me in about a minute. Then I went to the other room so they can ask questions about your health. Then after that they put you in a room and I waited to go for x-rays 5 minutes. Got my x-rays. Came back. Waited 10 minutes from the doctor to come in and tell me the results. Very nice people there
It was by far the best experience I've had being in a hospital. ER staff was great and funny. My Dr . And nurse was the best on the 2nd floor. And all the other staff was great .
I had the most incredible experience being cared for by an exceptional team the day before Memorial Day. From the moment I arrived, the triage team, X-ray department, and nurses went above and beyond to ensure my comfort and well-being. Despite being out of town and unsure of what to expect in little valley NY when I got injured, their expertise and compassion put me at ease. The drive to the hospital was undoubtedly the most challenging part, but once I arrived, I was in excellent hands. I would like to express my gratitude to Mark, Mike, Renee, Dr. Wenner, and the countless others who contributed to my exceptional care. As someone who works in healthcare, experiencing being a patient for the first time with a serious injury on the eve of a national holiday was a new and uncertain situation for me. However, every aspect of my care was nothing short of perfect, and I am truly grateful for the remarkable service I received.
Needed stitches in wrist after small accident. I am from out of town and was impressed with the quality of care received at this tiny hospital! Saw a wonderful PA, Jorge, who provided top notch care!
If I could leave ZERO I would but 1 seems to be the lowest. We went here tonight after going to the urgent care for abdominal and stomach spasms four close to 24 hrs. The urgent care transferred to here because ultra sound and cts were needed.. after an hr and a half only thing that had been done was initial intake. "No open beds" they said but they were able to take 4 people in while we waited.. who all showed up after we got there. And no none were serious.. the most critical they took was an ankle that hurt... this is saying nothing about the conditions of the facilities themselves. Bugs in corners. Ceiling tiles falling.. do not go here it's more of a waste of time than anything.
Went for my annual physical, of course you NEVER seen a Dr. I got my blood tested before I came with a script exclusively for BCH , at appt time I was told they forgot to do half the Blood tests! But I could get another Draw, NO After a referral to their New orthopedic Office I tried 3 times to see the Dr But each appt resulted only seeing a member of his staff.
One star ONLY for the convenience of it being right in town. I never write reviews. But after several terrible experiences in this ER, I can't help it. The overnight staff and nurses in the ER are catty, lazy, and unprofessional. All they seem to care about are their phones and gossiping. Laughing about ill people. Complaining about their boyfriends. Texting and playing games all night. Maybe if they concerned themselves more with patients instead of their personal issues, they would not have missed some very simple things that the next hospital found right away. Oh and this is talking about only ONE night there. I've been there in the middle of the night on three occasions and all of them were the same. I won't mention names and put anyone on blast here but this place is awful. Used to be good many years ago, it's sad to see it go downhill. If you have the time, GO ELSEWHERE EVERYONE!!
We were there early in the day and were seen right away. Everyone was very professional. Although they couldn’t take care of my problem, they did set me up with an appointment with the appropriate doctor. We were traveling through the area and were thankful for the good service.
I have read a lot of reviews here, and the negative ones make it seems like I'm reading about a hospital in an alternate reality. I have been to this hospital many times and have never had anything but great care there. It's very clean, the hospital staff is caring and helpful, the doctors and nurses that I have been associated with have been amazing. They treat you like you're family. Yes, you sometimes have to wait at the emergency room, but that's the way it is at all hospitals, in my experience. We are so luck to have a small local hospital in our area that has caring, quality doctors, nurses, and staff. They have been working hard in the last several years to bring in specialists so we don't have to go to Buffalo. As far as the review about the emergency room not letting anyone go in with their loved one, I have never seen that. Their rule is to let one person go in with each patient. I have personally experienced that several times at all times of day and night. They have even let two people go in on occasion. When the emergency room doctor had to give me the news that my mom was terminal, he let my husband come in also to help me cope with such bad news. Long live Bertrand Chaffee Hospital!
Look through ALL the reviews. General consensus says this place is a nightmare. What a joke. Don’t go here. You’ll die. Olean general, Warsaw, ecmc, mercy, those are all MUCH better choices. I’ll keep going here, and I’ll keep trying, but I bet you they kill me before it’s all said n done. Had to make sure this was publicly noted. Priority is not priority at this hospital. Thanks.
