My favorite home depot, a lot of the home depots in the area are on the smaller size. This is one of the only full size stores in the area. My only critique would be it isn’t easy to find staff when your looking for something, but that’s probably because this place is packed from sun up to sundown. You can always use their app to find what your looking for, that’s all the staff is going to do any way when you ask a question. This place is always clean and fully stocked. If your looking for something online this is going to be the store where it’s actually in stock. The best part about this store is there are workers outside lined up ready to work on your next project with you, they are great guys and I pick them up to help me on all my major projects, can’t say enough good things about this place. The staff is extremely friendly and really contribute to the encinitas vibe.
I hardly ever go to Best Buy as I build my own desktops. True story: Was in a pinch with a client and had to buy a laptop but still run Maya/3ds Max/MeshLab - online, ordered, picked up at Target for $279. I took one peek in in Best Buy, returned the laptop to Target 7 minutes later, and walked out of Best Buy with a laptop 3x as fast. Unbelievable service AND prices
Poor customer service. They recommended in the store no strings attached for my online purchase and can return to store. I returned to the same store, same rep I was told, and charged for a restocking fee of $45. Been a loyal Best Buy customer for a couple decades. This was pretty poor on how they dealt with the misleading info. Another decline to Best Buy. Tip, fully inform your customers.
Had what I was looking for, but not even 10 minutes in the store I was accused of trying to steal headphones. My brother and I had been at another Best Buy trying to find some headphones and a monitor. We came to this one after they weren’t in stock in the other. We get into the store and find the headphones I want. I grab them, and then I go to use the restroom and hand the headphones to my brother. While I’m in the restroom, I take notice of a worker looking around suspiciously, but I don’t think anything of it. When I’m out, I go search for my brother. A worker asks for a key or something? But I thought he was talking to the worker because there was one behind me. I go into the aisle where my brother is. The worker then comes up to me and asks me for the headphones I “shoved down my pants.” Whole time those same headphones he was looking for were being held by my brother. I ask him if he was messing with me because I didn’t do anything. He keeps on saying that he isn’t and he goes to check cameras again with security. After this, he didn’t bother me again, but I wasn’t even given a sorry or anything. He couldn’t even look my way after, he kept staring in a straight direction, almost as if he was avoiding any kind of confrontation
We had quite an ordeal. We purchased a TV, scheduled delivery a week out, the day came.... no delivery. We called to find out the status and was told the purchase was canceled due to a "system glitch" ??? After an hour and 15 min on the phone and asking to speak with a supervisor... they refunded the money from the 1st order and reordered the TV. Now we wait another week!!!!!! Why didn't they call when they had "the glitch"? I guess Customer Service means that the customer must take care of their own service. Ridiculous!!!!
Every time I come to this store, the staff behind the counter are aloof or condescending. This past visit, I waited for a full 2 minutes while 2 guys fiddled with a computer with their backs turned to me. I politely said "excuse me" wondering if maybe they didn't realize I was there and the one snidely said "we'll be right with you" like I was bothering him. A little courteous acknowledgement goes a long way. Combine that with a measly 15 day return policy another condescending conversation with one of the rather arrogant staff members and I'd generally prefer to take my business elsewhere. Best Buy used to be cool. Sad to see it disintegrate.
Purchased my computer in Encinitas the young lady so helped me. They did not have it she got me one in El Cajon by my house. Stepped in and they put in the back of my car. Easiest grand I ever spent. Service was awesome!! Thank you both stores. Great customer service!!
Excellent staff that really understood top notch customer service. Alex, the manager, was friendly and super helpful greeting me and directing me towards the items I needed. Then another staff member provided great advice with no frills or wasted time. Great experience shopping here!
Warehouse crew goes MIA. Waiting for a curbside pickup order, I check the status inside, they radio back to figure out what’s going on, and nobody responds…twice. They recommend I cancel the order and repurchase it in store since they have no idea what their own employees are doing.
This best buy had a great staff when I went there. It was just before 7pm on a Sunday night, they were ready to close. But as opposed to most retailers, they greeted me, asked me if they could help and......wait for it...... actually knew technology and assisted me. Thanks for the great experience. If you need anything technology related, go no further.
