We went to Best Buy to purchase a television. We were helped by a very nice young woman. We had a basic idea of the two televisions we were interested in seeing. She brought us to the televisions which were in the same general location. We asked if both televisions could show the same programs as one was showing colorful birds in a jungle and the other was showing mostly water scenes. We were told that the televisions are programmed by the individual manufacturers and there was no way to view both with the same programming. This was very disappointing and made the decision more difficult. When you are spending over a thousand dollars you want to feel comfortable you are making the best decision possible. We are pleased with our purchase and the assistance we received.
The manager in the Covington, LA store is a condescending jerk to customers. Instead of helping with a $10 certificate that didn’t work, he blamed me. Best Buy emailed me the certificate, and I wanted to use it. Instead, the manager said it was somehow my fault. He added this is a common problem with customers. I don’t need to be chastised by some jerk when I want to buy something.
The service was good. We had to make an exchange and got needed help in finding the right equivalent. 4 stars because the store doesn't seem to be as stocked as before. Maybe a sign of the times.
There were probably only 3 employees. The wait to check out behind one person was over 20 minutes! The young girl was very nice or I'd give them negative stars.
Stay away from the car audio install from this store unless you want to go back multiple times to keep fixing things they break, or wasn’t done correctly and now when the seat was moved a wire they ran from the stereo to the amp that was run on the seat track was cut, they want $140 for a new wire because it’s been 11 months, if the wire wouldn’t have been ran along the seat track i wouldn’t need a new wire, terrible install, terrible workmanship and terrible communications with the store to get it resolved. Stay away!
This store gets more useless all the time. Literally every time I go here it has less in stock and is designed more inefficiently than the last. I came here for RAM last time to find I needed to go to Customer Service to see what was available. I had to stand in line; when finally helped the employee was rude and then continued helping other customers who came after me before even giving me options and prices. Only one overpriced option so I left empty handed after wasting half an hour here. Avoid this worthless store. Use their website if you want to buy from them but you're better off buying from Amazon honestly. And that's from someone who hates Amazon.
Needed a new TV one of them spoke to Jenna. She was very knowledgeable and pointed out the pros and cons of each of the TV is always looking at. Ended up buying Sony 77-in
I was looking around for DJI drones. I was curious and wanted more info on the total tech membership and if it extended drone warranty. Was told that it did extend the warranty. Then I asked about drone falling into the lake or body of water…. was told “that is not covered”.
I purchased a new home and purchased over $7K of appliances from Best Buy over the summer -- fridge, washer, drier, samsung frame tv, mesh wifi system, etc. Fast forward to August, I had Best Buy rewards from these purchases expiring at the end of the month so I decided to put them towards a TV for a bedroom. I received the TV on 8/30 but I kept it unopened in the box until my new bedroom furniture arrived on 9/20. Upon opening the TV box, I found that the screen was cracked. Unfortunately, I was 6 days outside of the "return window". The Covington store and the call center both said there is nothing they can do except for me to bring it to Geek Squad and have them repair at my expense. I asked if there was some sort of an override they could do on the computer since the TV still had the film and stickers on it and was obviously not used but they said "no". So, now I have lost the Best Buy rewards, the additional money for the TV, and will still have to buy a new TV...from somewhere else because I am never shopping at Best Buy again.
The manager helped me pick out a new phone. I also bought a new case and screen protector and he installed it for me. THEN... He helped me start the transfer of all of my files. He made the process so easy.
