It has been almost a year since I ordered my appliances. The appliances were in stock. Then they lost the appliances. Then they came out to install the pedestals which would leave me no washer or dryer. Then the next visit a month later, they send multiple reminders they are coming sometime between 7am and 7pm only to not show up at all. Then they send me a text asking how the install went. I said they did not show up. They did not respond back to me. Now I am rescheduled another month out. It appears this may need to be rescheduled again as they have lost the pedestals.
We had a great experience with Waylon at Best Buy at the Capital Mall in Olympia. He was extremely knowledgeable, kind and even had a sense of humor. We were looking for a good exterior camera that was very "user friendly" considering I am essentially terrible with tech of any kind. We plan to be back for my samsung watch and some other gadgets like a new TV for the living room. Thanks again best buy and Waylon!
The staff is nice. Wherever they send the televisions to get fixed on this occasion SUCKS! This is just my experience this one time, but never before. They have always been great! I brought my TV in on its warranty and explained what was wrong with it, I made sure they made notes so there was no confusion. There was a problem with my email getting mixed up with my ex-husband's email good thing we are still friends, so my ex kept getting confirmations that it arrived, and so on. I called after two weeks. I called to check on the status, and they had no idea what I was talking about. After they found my TV, they kept asking, "What was the original problem?" After almost two months, they said that it was on its way back. One week later it arrived and I was told that my warranty was used. After reading what they did or didn't do, I asked for a manager, and he told me that the warranty would still be active... Because it says that they plugged it in and waited, they did see a problem, so it wasn't opened up. So they kept my TV for that long for nothing. If they had read the notes... I have never had a problem with Best Buy or the Geeksquad, so I hope this is just an isolated incident. All in all the staff is kind and very helpful. It is a small store, so their inventory is low.
Took a somewhat awkwardly long time before being approached by a sales person to discuss purchase options. But after trying to find the perfect balance of fiddling around with enough display devices to look like a potential customer instead of a potential thief who might be casing the place, a sales rep finally did help me out and the help was fantastic. I'm quite happy with my purchase.
There are way better places to go that treat & compensate their employees properly. Maybe it's the corporate slave vibe, or the fact that their security is law enforcement wearing bulletproof vests, maybe it's the outrageous prices and in personable approach that a soulless corporation like best buy is built upon that leaves me with the sense of hopeless apathy... I'm just not sure if buying their electronics is a good idea. Just not doing it for me Best buy. Oh yeah geek squad is a demeaning name and best buy is a straight out lie.
Horrible experience!!! Order your product directly from the manufacturer or Amazon! Trying to purchase a drone...Nothing in stock at any local stores... Began to order online and found some in stock at a store 45min away... called to confirm they had them on hand and discovered you can't actually call the store directly, yet the representative assured me they had them.... drove all the way there, and they had nothing none in the state... went to my local store to order one and pay with a visa gift card, but of course, they don't accept visa gift cards...soooo ridiculous! Huge waste of time. Don't follow in my footsteps, just go directly to the manufacturer...in my case DJI, who also offered a better warranty.
Realized I was the old guy when walking through Best Buy to get to the theater. Nothing looked the same as the last time I shopped here. Almost no music, blu-rays, or physical copies of any media. Just phones, tv"s, sound bars, laptops, and appliances. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. Employees were very friendly though.

Stood around for 15 minutes waiting for assistance to purchase a specific unit; to no avail. Shopped at Best Buy for years; never had this experience. No mystery as to why Amazon and other online companies are thriving.
Im really angry right now. One of the items is wrong. I was given a WD Black usb 3.2 gen 2 instead of the PCIE gen 4 x 4 internal SSD I ordered. ALL OF THE ITEMS WERE ON HIS SCREEN when he reordered them. Ridiculous we had to do it that way, too. My employer paid for this new system because I needed a new computer YESTERDAY. I'll admit the boxes look similar, BUT HE HAD THE EXACT ITEM ON HIS SCREEN IN FRONT OF HIM!! This is a critical business emergency we are experiencing. When their website says pick up today, it doesn't mean pick up today. We drove 40 miles to pick it up, and they said it'd be ready in the next few days. maybe???. Not because they were out of stock, they were waiting on a funds hold from the bank??? They never notified me or my employer about this. He created a new order with supossedky tge aame items and I had to pay at POS. TO TOP IT OFF. I have an unusable USB ssd for what I need it for. Usb drives make horrible OS drives. I was picking up all the parts for a workstation computer. I am furious right now. Ian was friendly enough, but these guys need to get their act together. Friendly doesn't make up for incompetence. I even pointed out a discrepancy in the price. "Are you sure this is what we ordered?" I didn't have the parts list because my boss ordered it online. All I had on me was an order number. I understand everyone, including myself, make mistakes, but we stressed to him how important this was. . "Oh yes, that's just a difference in sales tax he said." This set me back a day, and this could ruin our business. I don't know what else to say. I will NEVER trust Best Buy with anything important ever again. Sorry about spelling and grammar. I'm seeing red right now.
