I've attempted to use this gentlemen for flooring for my home. He came in measured 2 rooms and then gave me a price over the phone the next day. After that I went to his store to match carpet. He gave me a totally different price. I specifically told him that price was for 2 rooms he confirmed. I said let me run it past my wife and I'll let you know. I called back a few hours later and he started back pedaling saying that was just for one room and that he never measured the other room. I specifically reminded him that he did in fact measure that room and reminded him of said conversation we had while there. He gave me 4 or 5 different prices for the same work and he seemed very confused about it all. Throughout my interaction with him I thought his mental state was odd but felt like he knew his stuff. However he got easily confused and forgetful and led me not feeling uncomfortable doing business with him
Beautiful carpet, Jim and Joanne very helpful with purchasing type of carpet and padding we wanted for our home. installation went well, very professional. Education on new carpet and maintenance very helpful. Very happy customer.
Floor was done decent enough. But was not described the full details of what needed to be done beforehand so was charged Couple hundred extra for something that I want aware of when my house was measured and invoiced on the day of installation. Could have easily been done by myself but didn’t want to wait another three months for installation. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Then over a month after work was done I kept calling about the toilet tank that was taken off and back on that kept leaking all over my floor, kept getting excuses then no word back. Wound up causing more issues than it was worth. Maybe the price is worth it but if you want to wait weeks without any word back then it may be worth the headache. Now I got a broke toilet and searching for something new. Id suggest making sure to do a full inspection of your flooring and anything else they touched and don’t pay until it’s actually fixed and not “promised.” Once they got your money they don’t care.
New carpet but Cracked flooring and no resolution. He did not offer to have “his guys” repair the cracked lifeprof flooring, instead asking me to get a quote from my guy, which I did and sent via email. After a few days of no response to the repair quote, I called for a follow up. I received a call back asking to resend. About five mins a he call to tell me how ridiculous the repair quote was. My guy has a min for hours on a job and For two repair pieces there now has to be whole new box purchased. I was insulted on my flooring choice, told it was cheap. I really think owner was just upset I went a different route and didn’t take his flooring- basically same thing just a different brand. Then asked what I paid so he would go get it- I told him Home Depot about $60.00 a box with tax- then I was then told Home Depot doesn’t offer that kind of flooring at that price. Below is a photo screen shot from Home Depot with the flooring I chose. Then I was told I should have provided transitions - but was never told that in our several conversations leading to the carpet install. His guys put in metal transitions which is all good and fine but they cracked the flooring and will not take responsibility. Instead I was insulted and hung up on. I no longer need it repaired or want anything from this company. Will not use again or recommend. Update. Not sure why Donny Sweeney toke pictures down or changed reviewed. I work with him. But floor was repaired by a different company. I was told best value would get flooring. Jim would get himself. Day before install he called and told Donny that we had to get flooring. They were coming to fix but had no flooring. What a waste of time. Also pics of carpet- we have a large seam in the middle of the office floor. Should have cancelled my check!!!
Jim did a great job installing our new wood vinyl floor. Very knowledgeable on his quality products. Very reasonable price. Even came back to fix a few things in a timely fashion.
I highly recommend Best Value Carpet! Just had my whole house done and I couldn't be happier with the job they did!! Jim came out promptly, with covid-19 protocol, and measured all rooms, and had the entire job completed in 2 days!! Thanks again to everyone at Best Value Carpet!!
I am very pleased with my new carpet, and the quality of the padding. I never walked barefoot before, but I do now because I LOVE the way the carpet feels on my feet! The installers were prompt, they moved all of the heavy furniture from 4 bedrooms and put everything back when they were done, and nothing was damaged. Highly recommend working with Jim and Joanne, they are the BEST at what they do.
Went to several places for prices on carpet. I needed just a single room completed. Best Value was not only better than the rest, there was no surprise charges later. They got me exactly what I needed for the best price and did it fast! No waiting. I can honestly tell my friends and family to go here, quality product and no BS. Thank you
