The ac wasn't working when we arrived but it was fixed within an hour. The employees are all very nice. The pool was NOT open at the end of June. Breakfast offered warm/hot foods which is always appreciated. The lady who works the breakfast area is so nice!! I've heard that room cleaning has changed since Covid. We were there four nights and didn't have our room made up at all. When we wanted towels or wash cloths, we had to run down the housekeepers. Also, when we first arrived, one of the washcloths in the bathroom looked like it had ear wax on it. Gross!!
This hotel is newly remodeled, and it’s beautiful! Our room is clean and provided the basic accommodations we needed. It had a refrigerator no freezer part and microwave. Housekeeping staff members were kind and helpful. Breakfast team brought out some amazing "melt in your mouth" danish that were delightful. My husband enjoyed the Fitness Center, as they had weights he could use. It was a bit too cool to use the pool, but I liked that you could step down in the pool using steps. It would've been great for my 5 year old! Area is awesome and safe. Everything you need is close! QT is right next door!
Super friendly front desk worker when I checked in. She gave me all the information I needed on breakfast hours, pool hours, fitness center and business center hours. The hotel is newly remodeled and the room I had was perfect. I had absolutely no complaints. I did think it was a bit odd that there was a tent set up in the front parking lot area pushing Costco memberships, but the location of my room had me parking on the side of the hotel so the spaces taken up by the membership tent didn't put a damper on my stay. When I'm in the area again, I will definitely consider staying here.
Great place to stay. Freshly remodeled. I love that there are no carpets in the rooms. Would have liked to have an upgrade on the TV remote to better use the guides to go to a show/channel. The bathroom door needed an extra pull to completely close. The room door needed an intentional push or pull to be sure it closed. Slept very comfortably. Very friendly and helpful staff.
I understand that this is a low budget hotel, and you get what you pay for. With that said, I do think even low budget places should be clean and in good repair. Low budget, in my opinion, should mean simple with not many amenities. This place had a bathtub that was crumbling to pieces around the drain. The thermostat didn't work at all. There were 8 hairs in the shower I counted. The bed cover had what looked like a makeup stain about the size of a quarter ...so... noticeable. The ice machine on our floor 3rd didn't work. The elevator didn't work in the morning. Finally, I thought it was ridiculous that there were 2 women who I believe were in charge of the breakfast who were standing at a counter looking at their phones and had a TIP JAR on the counter in front of them. Really? A tip jar for a complimentary breakfast? Where the guests serve themselves?? I mentioned most of this at checkout I forgot the thermostat until later and the desk clerk said, "Sorry about that." Oh well. As I said, you get what you pay for.
I will start with the positive. The rooms are newly remodeled and are nice. The hotel is clean. The breakfast is just ok. The lady running it is not friendly and if you ask her about something she gets an attitude and confrontational. I have heard her be short and rude to other people as well. I have a long stay at this hotel, 11 days. And this is day 9. They have only cleaned my room 1 time. And the only reason they did is because I saw them and made them aware that I was unhappy. This is even after I asked for them to do it.
The sleeping area had many wires exposed from the AC unit, which did not work. One mattress cover had an old dried blood stain. An electrical receptical in the main room had been pulled loose from the wall. Management assured us those issues would be fixed. They did not. In fact in our two day stay we never saw a house keeping crew. The breakfast food was good. However, the two ladies who were working breakfast were rude to the point of being mean. Do you yourself a favor, stay someplace else.
Rating: 4.5 Pros: kind staff, clean rooms, freshly remodeled building, 24/7 convenience counter, multiple plug ins for recharging Cons: hot breakfast was bad, thin walls, small bathroom Details: overall our stay was good. The check in staff were kind and we were able to get into our room quickly enough. The bed was firm and though I wasn’t a fan my husband was. There is a convenience counter on the first floor where you can buy small things like drinks, toiletries, and snacks without any human interaction. Good for if you need something quick. Room had multiple outlets to plug things in and a small desk for if you need to get some work done. Super helpful for us. Tv was big and had access to plenty of channels. Only real issues was the small bathroom which can feel a little claustrophobic especially if multiple people need to get ready in the morning and the thin walls. If you are sensitive to sound at night be aware that I was able to hear my neighbors coughing, taking a shower, and dropping things on the floor. I couldn’t hear talking, walking, or their tv so I believe it was just mildly loud things that made it through. Something to note: they ask for the type of car you’re driving and the license plate number. Being as it’s St Louis I understood but some might see this as a breach of privacy.
Eve and Shonnii were amazing! Great customer service! Room was decent. Only bad thing was I found hair on some of the towels! My overall stay was good. I'll just bring my own towels next time!Rooms: 3/5
This is an awesome hotel to stay at , the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was also pretty tasty and the kitchen staff Ms.Dee was so nice and helpful . The front desk staff was also super helpful but Jessica was outstanding at telling us what there was to do in the city and getting us towels and anything extra we needed . I’d stay here again .
