It’s pretty bad. Something happened on the first floor… as soon as I entered the hallway where the rooms are located I noticed a strong musky smell, and the stains on the carpet. The carpets in our room weren’t any better, it smelled like mold, and there were stains on the sheets. The women at the front desk kindly upgraded us to the presidential suit when we asked for a new room. Unfortunately there were stains on those sheets too, and there were large and obvious stains all over the carpet. The smell was a lot better, but I could still smell the dirty/dusty carpet. The next morning we got a text from the front desk asking if everything was ok in our room. I was frank with them about the concerns of the overall cleanliness of the room. I wasn’t spending much time in the room, and only had it booked for one more night. I told them not to worry about it. When checkout time came 11 a.m. room service was knocking on our door at 11 on the dot. They knocked twice in 5 minutes… strange that they were in such a hurry to clean the room. They didn’t seem to have the same urgency the previous morning when they were “cleaning” the room next door. We went out for over 2 hours, and came back to them still sitting around in the same room they were in when we had left. For the amount that they’re charging per night, there’s no reason why the rooms are so disgusting. I’ve only seen this level of gross in the cheapest motels. There are serious issues with with this place, and whoever owns the property needs to address them. I can see similar reviews to mine posted like 5 months back, there has definitely been enough time to do so. The only highlight was the employee who helped us, she was very kind and apologetic. It’s unfair that her and other employees have to deal with angry guests over these extremely serious issues beyond their control.
Customer service, cookies, and breakfast was the only things good about this hotel. The room was cleanish but smelled musty. There was a musty smell also coming from the air conditioner. It looked like dead bugs or burn marks on ceiling. Plus there was a hole above the bed that looked moist as if it had recently dripped. The couch looked like they replaced the cover on the seat. Felt uncomfortable sleeping here, and Honestly couldn’t wait to check out the next morning.
Good place to stay, decent rooms, clean and spacious enough. The hallways were clean as well. Breakfast until 10 am very convenient and staff working to replenish anything that was needed. Room service, when requested, was done with the best care. Recommend this place.Rooms: 5/5
My stay at Best Western Plus Cedar Bluff was fantastic! Although I live locally, I needed the room while some emergency repairs were being done on my home. I was having a terrible day the day I checked in. The front desk clerk was so friendly and patient with me, and even offered me a hug which I accepted because I REALLY needed one at that moment!. After I got settled in my room, I heard a knock at the door and opened it to find the GM, Brandy, standing there with a goody bag full of snacks and a sweet little personalized "pick me up" card - she said, "We heard you were having a bad day, so we hope this makes it a little better." And it did! Everyone who works at this hotel is helpful and friendly. The rooms are immaculate, quiet, and comfortable. The parking lot is well-lit and compact enough to feel safe at night - most spaces are within just a few feet of the front lobby doors. There is a canopy out front that you can load/unload under in the rain. I couldn't have been happier with my choice - highly recommend this hotel! If you're traveling, this hotel is close to anything and everything you might need - food, shopping, entertainment all within 5 to 10 minutes and it is in a safe, highly traveled area of West Knoxville.
Cedar Bluff Knoxville is an excellent Best Western. Wonderful rooms, delightful staff and great Continental Breakfast. Also tons of great restaurants in the area. The best?Rooms: 5/5
For the price everything was excellent! Staff friendly & helpful. Breakfast foods were very good and went til 10am. Pool was warm & relaxing. Located in an easy to get to everything spot.Rooms: 5/5
My room smelled really musty/moldy. The ac unit has mold on it. I have the ac full blast and it’s not cold in here. I asked to be switched to a different room and the told me they were sold out for the night. The power also went off for a min. I couldn’t get rooms switched. The pool was murky you couldn’t even see the bottom. Very disappointed.
I recently stayed at this hotel and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The room was dirty and the hotel smelled musty, the sheets were stained and the towels were threadbare. The air conditioning was barely functional and made loud noises at night, making it difficult to sleep. The staff were unhelpful and seemed disinterested in addressing my concerns. The hotel's amenities were also lacking, with the pool being poorly maintained. Overall, I would not recommend staying at this hotel and would advise others to look elsewhere for better accommodations.
