Terrible service. The staff treated us terribly when we brought some concerns to them. One of the staff was mopping the breakfast nook barefoot. When we asked about why the wifi was not functioning and they gave us an excuse of the weather was beautiful that day and the day before. The phone in the room did not work. We had to have our room keys programmed several times after they would stop working. When we called to talk to corporate they told us that since it's franchised they wouldnt do anything for us. Would not recommend this hotel
This room was exactly what we needed for the price we paid. There were no serious concerns. The front desk staff was super nice and accommodating. Small issues and I say small were that we found a cracker behind the bed but absolutely no signs of any bugs. The air was confusing at first until we realized it's controlled by a wall thermostat rather than the physical unit . The toilet stopped flushing but that was a super simple fix for anyone who knows how to fix a chain. Pool was decent in size and privides towels although it had a bit too many chemicals in it, didnt stay in it long. Otherwise the continental breakfast was pretty good, great coffee machine with any sort of style coffee you could want. Rooms were clean and nicely presented. Beds are comfortable as well. Would stay again. 8.3/10. :
Hotel staff is nice and location is close to the event I was attending but the hotel itself was very unclean. The whole hotel smelled like food, including our room. The towels had dried black crust on them, and the mini fridge was caked with dried food and spilled liquids. Would not recommendRooms: 1/5
I liked the location because it was close to the event I attended and highway. But we reserved a suite and it smelled like a dog had previously stayed there. My family and I didn't like the smell. I think we should have been notified during check in that we were be given a room that allows pets. We would have requested a different room.
It was just after midnight on a Thursday night and my family was on their way to NJ and we were way too tired to drive any further. I went online to book a night at this Best Western. I selected Thursday to Friday on my reservation and because it was after midnight, the website changed my reservation to Friday-Saturday. I get to the hotel exhausted to check in about 1AM and they say they don't have a reservation for me until the following night and can't cancel it and reschedule. They said they "would help me out" and therefore charged me full rate for that night and cancelled my stay for the following night with NO REFUND. A total misunderstanding and they totally were not helpful, instead they were GREEDY and USELESS. It was management's call in the morning and they just wanted all the money they could get even though they certainly could rebook that room for someone else the night I wouldn't be there. AWFUL service. The only good part o f the place was the hotel was fine and the coffee machine was nice.
The young lady at that checked my wife and I in at front desk was nice, personable and was diligent with trying to be helpful. We could tell she takes pride in her work. There were issues with her computer keyboard which slowed the check in process down substantially. My Wife and I requested a room with a queen size bed which we were instructed we would have, but we were given a room which had two full size beds. The room smelled, the lamp on the table between the two beds flickered continuously, it wasn't a loose light bulb, but a faulty lamp which probably had a short in it. The light by the door kept coming on throughout the night. I had driven for 10 hours, had another 4.5 hours to drive, so this disturbed my sleep. I also had to teach a Sunday School class by Zoom on Sunday morning at 9:30 am. My wife and I tried to watch a little tv to unwind from a long drive, but unfortunately the tv didn't work. I went down stairs to the front desk and a young Man I believe who said his name was Kursh came up to the room, he was very polite, he got the tv working and my wife and I also told him the telephone didn't work and he said he was sorry but if we needed anything at all, we could just come down stairs and let them know. I asked for a front desk number to call from my mobile, none was given. I told him we only had the 717 number which did not route us to the front desk, he said if we needed anything just come down. At 1 am we get a knock on the door which woke my wife and I up, and startled her as there was a couple arguing in and out of the hallway and slamming the door to there room most of the evening, I asked who it was and they said front desk. I asked what they wanted and they said Kursh left his key in our room, I said no he didn't, they said he did, I turned on the light went to the tv which is the only place Kursh was at while in our room, I looked there and on that side of the room and there was no key, I made the two men aware and the young man with the older man said, sorry the older man just glared at me and they walked down the hallway. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 7 am, I sat there until 7:30 am, no breakfast and unfortunately the man preparing the breakfast was also checking people out, from register to food. I don't see how he could have washed his hands. The room was $167.00 though the ad posted the cost at $ 80, we had no issue with paying double, because what the young lady that checked us in said I agree with, which is "you get what you pay for", but unfortunately that was not the case, we got nothing near what we paid for. We were not given a receipt at check-in, do to additional unspecified computer issues at the front desk and we had to request one at checkout. Ridiculous! This was by far the most unprofessional poorly ran hotel, I have ever stayed at in my 63 years of life and i travel quite a bit. At check In we were encouraged to join the Best Western Rewards Program, we did, but we won't stay at Best Western again! Sad and Sorry! Rev. Duane Landrum
The hotel is located centrally, easy to find. Room was clean, asked for a King, got two doubles. The front desk was not helpful at all as far as late night food suggestions, all the restaurant menus he gave us had closed or were closing within minutes…. long day of driving, we were tired, and hungry. The air conditioning did not work in our room and we found it very uncomfortable to sleep. The door lock to our room did not lock properly. The pool was not accessible as well, and now reading previous reviews this is an ongoing issue. Not quite sure why they have the high ratings they have… stay somewhere else.
Well, first the remodel is a joke. Sure it looks nice on the outside but the rooms are not. The "remodeled" rooms consist of poor paint job, reinstalling rusted items and other small but noticeable issues. Second, the pool and hot tub were not open as the site stated. The front desk could have cared less about that being the only reason we were staying there with 3 kids. Third, the breakfast was okay. No cereal options. No milk. Limited options. Omelets with cheese are not good. Fourth, toilets are way too low, not ADA compliant. OVER PRICED. Regret not spending the extra $20 and gone somewhere else. Save yourself. We stayed because it was late and didn't feel like packing up. Didn't use Expedia to book trip soooooo.....no didn't see the pool closure.
