Best Western St Petersburg/Clearwater Int'l Airport Hotel

Very impressed for the low price I paid. Stayed 2 nights due to the hurricane. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was perfect…nothing fancy but quite clean and comfortable with a decent little fridge and a microwave. Lots of charging ports bedside and elsewhere for electronic devices. My only nitpick is that the toilet is very low to the ground and was difficult to sit down/stand up from, so if you have any disabilities this may be an issue, as they do not have any grab bars installed to make it easier to use if you have any leg or back issues. Also, there are no elevators for the second level, only stairs, so be sure to request a first floor room if you or anyone in your party is disabled. Otherwise, I really enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay here again.

For the price, these are by far the best rooms in the ares. They offer full hot breakfast, consistently clean rooms, no bugs, and friendly staff. This is the only hotel we stay at when in the area.Rooms: 4/5

Location is great. The staff is a disaster. Door key won’t open our doors been dealing with it for 2 hours. 3 towels for 4 adults. Pool - check in at 3pm pool was closed for cleaning at 4 and then so many chemicals were added in that swimming wasn’t an option the rest of the day. Phones don’t work so we have to walk to the office over everything else that won’t work: and towels etc etc Rooms are fine. Clean avg low budget rooms but clean and decently maintained. Location is great. If they swap out some staff I’m sure it will improve the other issues.

Beautiful hotel , very clean , quiet, and comfortable. These are the friendliest , most helpful employees I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Complimentary breakfast is very good here. Terrible experience for us, We had to switch 3 rooms!! First room's floor was all wet and sticky. there was no maintenance person only one receptionist, then we switched to another room, at night all of a sudden, fire alarm starting ringing and buzzing, as it had to switch the batteries, the receptionist asked us to change the batteries as there were no maintenance person and it was not possible for her to change the batteries, we even tried to switch the batteries but couldn't the remove the alarm cap, at night we had to switch to third room! Which was good, but we had to change rooms, move our luggage 3 times. Breakfast was good. Talked to the person in charge during our checkout in the morning, she provided us with 10% discount on our stay.

I need help getting a refund of my money I paid for the night, my points, and my deposit. On 08/23/23 at approx 9:15am at The Surestay by Best Western st. Pete Clearwater airport, after bringing breakfast up to the room another guest in my party started abusing and attacking me. I called the front desk to ask for them and the police to have him leave. I opened up the door and started helping him gather his things to get him out, while I was doing that a the manager and the woman from the front desk both came to the room I had problems with both in the past, the woman had knocked on my door before saying I hadn’t paid downstairs just on my phone when in fact I had paid and signed papers already with the manager that same morning, so when I went downstairs there was another lady at the desk, the lady I’ve had problems with sitting behind there as well, and the manager in the office, so I asked the women to check my paperwork that I had already signed, the manager yelled out from the office “no you didn’t”, the woman at the front found my paperwork signed in the file, another time the woman I had problems with knocked on my door and walked awayand started helping him carry his stuff down, I asked them to call the police and have him leave and I told them he had my card with all my money on it as well as the car keys to my car. Instead they helped him put the items into his car and left me outside trying to stop him from stealing my car and my items. He left so I went back to my room next thing I know the police come saying they are evicting and trespassing me and my 3 year old daughter, I explained to them we have nowhere to go and he took my card and my car with the car seat inside, I asked for a refund since they were making me leave. They lied and said I damaged 3 towels, no towels were damaged just needed washed from being used. I do not recommend due to the manager there otherwise it is a nice place and has great breakfast but the manager isn’t helpful is rude and is holding my money under lies. Also when they were trespassing me they told the cops they’d refund me, then last minute before I left the property told me 3 towels were damaged, towels that simply needed to be washed. They owe me $100 cash deposit, $43.87 on my card, and 6500 best western points. I’m in contact with best western corporate and with my bank. This was done over pure decrimination.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Roaches in the room and outside crawling everywhere. Shower head was broken, staff was extremely rude, couldn’t get ice nor use the washer and dryer, top it off there was a USED CONDOM under the bed. Lots of homeless people and addicts stay here! We stayed 6 nights before saying anything because our money was tied up at this place and was unable to go somewhere else! Also didn’t want our stuff messed with if we complained and had to stay BEWARE this is a privately owned motel and not associated with Best Western!!! I checked on that the first night in hopes to get transferred to a different motel all together!!

The front desk folks were very friendly and helpful. Heaven only knows when the last time the bathroom floor was washed and little gnats are flying around the room who are attracted to my phone light. I even left a great tip hoping for some effort. Was the same when we returned. Worse yet, our floor didn't even get swept! I wish I could post photos on here to show you. But if you like to sleep on a firm bed, this is the place for you! It's like sleeping on a board! Hands down the worst bed I've slept in. Now I'm in pain, cranky, and expected to make clients happy? Wish me luck!

My experience begins a week before arriving I had put in wrong dates two different times and they acted like it was no problem and fixed my dates for me both times when I got there they were just as gracious in person the front staff is amazing they're all very sweet and attentive very polite The rooms were clean the beds are comfortable this is my new go to place when I come into town

Roach infestation and drug problem. Had a meth head banging on my door at 2am because her dealer had just checked out day before me. Bunch of homeless people / druggies soliciting the property at night, and management is garbage. Also had German roaches in my room and all near the food DURING breakfast. Photos attached. Will never stay at a best western again after this experience.I had no option but to complete my reservation but I wouldn’t stay there now if they paid me. Edit* I forgot to mention that the key cards barely work so you will have to go to the front desk quite often
