The mission of the Thrift Centers is to reach people for Christ by providing funds for worldwide Bible placement.
The Bibles for Missions Thrift Centers were started in early 1992 in Holland, Michigan. Since then several other Centers have opened throughout the Midwest, with Pella’s being the 14th. The members of the local steering committee have designated the profits from the Pella Thrift Center to be sent to Romania. More than 20 years ago in Romania during communist rule it was illegal to even have Bibles. Communism in Romania has collapsed and in the past 10 years new churches have been planted with new members needing Bibles.
