What an awesome spot to see. I was disappointed by a few things. There was some type of festival going on and had a lot of it blocked off. And the rivers fountain wasn't running on one seriously hot day. The carillton was awesome as was the WW2 memorial spinning globe. Nicely designed public space.
Great history markers, definitely interesting to see the history of Tennessee throughout the years. Also enjoyed the WWII memorial here, very moving reading all the markers. Definitely a must visit if you're driving through.
Liked this place, especially if you're looking for a bit of peace and quiet away from Broadway and the live bands. Nice just to stroll about and read about some of the WWII history. There's also a 'farmer's market' if you're after some food or drinks, or both. Restrooms: There's restrooms in the food area Dog-friendliness: Certainly a few people walking dogs on leash
I'm in love with this place! excellent view of the downtown skyline. Great for walking or exercising, resting, and taking pictures. Kids and dogs friendly. There is plenty of free parking. Historic place.
Beautiful grounds, with so much to see. Like the amphitheater, war monument, bell pillars, and of course views of the capital building. Enjoy the museum, food court in the bicentennial mall, or the farmers market, to name a few. So many festivals, concerts, and movie nights are held throughout the year. Great place for locals to stroll or tourists to enjoy wine tasting and the history of Tennessee.
A very nice clean park. They have a wide open place to read a book, let the kids play or jog around the perimeter. There are several monuments engraved to the history of Tennessee and it's local history. There is ample parking with plenty of designated handicap places. I saw several dogs being walked on their leash. This mall park is below the capital and adjacent to the farmers market and the Tennessee State Museum. It has free parking at both ends of the mall area
Nice walk with a great view of downtown Nashville. There is a cool marble long walkway that goes through the timeline history of Nashville, along with the WWII tribute with a spinning globe water fountain. I wanted to get a nice picture of the state capitol, one of only 12 US capitols without a dome and I got a great picture here. Nice stop to walk around a little bit. Dog-friendliness: nice grassy areas for the dogs
Really nice park to walk through. Great history along the way. Lots of people walking with families and dogs. You have the Nashville Farmers market is beside it and the state museum is next to it. You can get your state park passport stamp inside the visitor center. Ranger was really nice to talk to.
Not many states / cities can boast such a clear and prominent view of their Capitol building. The first time you see it from afar is stunning. The mall itself has plenty of room to lay out in the sun or shade and feels very safe, unlike other parks close to Capitols which have some shady loiterers. There are also things for the kids to play and climb on with a ton of historic signage around.
Very nice lots of things to see many exhibits lots of Tennessee History Dog-friendliness: Lots of dogs they do have to be leashed
