If you like standing around all day in dingy and dimly lit rooms then this is the place for you. As a special bonus, the employees at this location are impossible to work with due to their incompetence and rude attitude. Other than that, it’s a lovely place.
Someone here stole my package and there is zero accountability. I dropped off a 4' x 18" X 12" box, which I handed through a locked security door to the postal worker. They scanned it in and that was it. 3 weeks later and it never made it to the scanner at the sorting facility. There is zero accountability. Just so you are aware you cannot take USPS to small claims court. LAPD doesn't care and will not help you at all. I'm out $2,300 after the $1,000 insurance payout. $1,000 is the maximum I could take out. I still have a few routes so anyone reading this will know what to do: - Contact the Postmaster, I doubt this will resolve anything. - file a claim against the US government - hope my home insurance policy will cover the rest
Chris, a supervisor, was extremely rude, dismissive, demeaning, and woefully unhelpful. I was seeking guidance about a letter I received from a station on Pasadena concerning a change of address for the law firm I work at. He couldn't be bothered to look at the letter, thought it was appropriate to laugh, only told me to go to "that post office." I told him there is no post office listed on the letter. He just continued to say "that" and then walked away while we were talking. When I asked a clerk of he was coming back she came back and said "he went to put the back to help an employee that quick." While she was spelling I heard employee yelling for Chris. So Chris is a liar too. And Alam. Who was super unhelpful for the entire conversation and said nothing but "I told her. She didn't listen." When he told me nothing helpful because he didn't look at the letter I received.
THEY DO NOT TAKE WALK-INS FOR PASSPORTS. THEY ARE LIARS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME LIKE THE 30 PEOPLE WHO ARE CURRENTLY IN LINE.
Pretty sure my package was stolen. This branch attempted to close the service # investigation multiple times without making an attempt to retrieve the package. After some investigation, the local carrier kept switching between "it may have been taken" to "I accidently delivered it to an address that doesn't exist." All representatives are rude and short. They don't want to help at all. If you see this before you have an expensive package shipped, make sure that the person shipping insures the package.
I haven’t received any mail in the West Hollywood area for over a week! I’m signed up for Informed Delivery and I haven’t received anything scanned to be delivered resulting in 20 missing mail piece’s. This is absolutely ridiculous and criminal for the fact that USPS is supposed to deliver mail 6 days a week. I’m missing mail piece’s from state and federal agencies including my W2’s.
We paid about $300 to ship packages from NY and on the same day they arrive at this post office, someone forwards them back to the sender. On our second attempt they finally updated the tracking information to say the tenant moved. They never bothered to check the name on the packages or go to the address, because this person moved in about 3 months ago.
Miss Kim took fantastic care of me when a delivery issue arose. I told her she should get a raise - take note upper management !!!
My review is for the passport services. I came here to apply for my son’s passport renewal with an anticipation of horror. When I was applying for his passport for the first time it was in San Francisco and it was a pure hell of an experience! I did expect the same situation or even worse. I was so wrong! First thing that happened- we came to our appointment time and we were accepted right away! Then, a lady got our documents! We brought everything from the list and surprisingly it was enough! A minute later she took my son to the room to take a picture, allowed me to pay with my debit card and issued a receipt. That’s it!!! I couldn’t believe it!!! Last time in SF it took me the whole day and that experienced left me emotionally scarred. I still cannot believe it took us 13 minutes to renew the passport- it’s pretty freaking amazing! Thank you passport lady!!!
What a horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible post office… i’ve had numerous packages that say delivered and just aren’t there. I had one package I received that was torn opened and the contents were removed. I went online and ask USPS to hold my mail because my father had health issues and I had to stay up in Washington state for two months and when I got back I went to collect my mail and there was no mail… I asked to speak to a manager and he went in the back for about 15 minutes and came back and said I didn’t receive any mail in that timeframe…of 2 mouths… I said that’s not possible and then he said my mail person gave me the mail… I said no she didn’t and you just said I didn’t receive an mail… he said can you prove the mail person didn’t give me my mail… I asked him how I was supposed to prove a negative…. and he said he needed proof… horrible… just awful.
