Kalani and I were both raised on the beautiful islands of Hawai'i.
Kalani in Waipahu, myself in Kalihi on the island of O'ahu.
We moved to Schertz Texas on Sept. 1, 2007. We like it here due to the fact that the cost of living in is so much more affordable, But, we miss our family, friends and the island life itself, however, the one thing that we missed the most is da local grindz (local slang for food).
In the few short years we've been here, we have met quite a bit of locals from Hawaii and also met friends who visited Hawaii, who not only miss the islands, but also the local food as we do, Therefore, we thought that catering local food would be a great idea. We are no chef's whatsoever, but we've been cooking various local grindz for as long as we can remember.
