Love the music and informative information during the ride. Encountered really friendly staff, buses were clean and comfortable. Stopped at all the great locations; highly recommend as it beats driving downtown exploring on your own and finding parking!
We took the nighttime tour and we had a great time. Spare 2 hours to be safe if you’re on a time crunch. Great way to see most DC sites with some great stories on the way. If you can get Maurice as your guide, you’ll have a great time. He went out of his way to make sure our toddler the cutie on duty was entertained. Make sure to tell him to watch his head if you're on the 2nd floor, those branches can come out of nowhere for someone standing. If you're in DC for a short time and want to see the highlights, this is the tour for you, TAKE THE TOUR
Had the most wonderful night tour the last night before we head home. For my first time being in DC, this was definitely a highlight and I highly recommend taking the night tour. Everyone from BBT was very helpful before, during and after the trip. 10/10 recommend.
Love Big Bus tours. It was our first time in DC and only had a day to sightsee. We were able to view all the major sights and hop off to tour two museums. Devaughtn was our first guide at the spot we hopped on the bus the first time. He was amazing. He was patient, friendly and answered all our questions. He set the tone for a great day!!!
All photos taken from the upper deck of the sightseeing bus. Even though the sights around D.C. are relatively close, the tour takes over an hour and a half because of the traffic and stop lights. At the time we took the tour, busses were arriving at pickup points approximately every 20-25 minutes. Often times, there was standing room only on the buses in between the more popular stops. I wish the recorded audio that plays during the tour was more informative and a lot less corny. It will take more than one day to explore all of the sights. The price was $60 per person.
Really good trip to get your bearings and see where key landmarks are. Don’t miss the WW II memorial - very well done and some great Presidential quotes. Thanks to Devaughn of Big Bus.
What a special night! This was our last night in DC and the perfect way to end our trip. My 80 year old mother was able to see so many things that she would not have been able to see if not for this tour. The weather was absolutely perfect. Narration of the tour was very informative. Highlight of the night was our driver, Ms. Gale, who was absolutely lovely! She is definitely an asset to your company. Thank you so much for a wonderful night.
This is a perfect way to see multiple DC landmarks, without the pressure of walking hither and thither! Perfect for this fat, old lady!! God bless my sweet daughter for suggesting this to her poor tired older folks, who really didn’t want to walk all over DC, navigating through Spring Break families and groups, because my poor feet and nerves couldn’t handle it! You have the option to jump on and off, if you want to, but we decided to just stay on the bus and enjoy the beautiful day and sights. The sun shining down on us with a perfect cool breeze…it was a perfect memory making moment. My only complaint was we ended up sitting at one of the stops far too long. I’m not sure why, but it was annoying. After sitting for 35 minutes I was on the verge of chanting “move this bus”, when they did start rolling along! It was good too, cause I didn’t want to start a riot! I would have had to compete with some postal workers who were protesting in front of the USPS building and it would have turned ugly real fast! Beyond that ridiculous wait, it was great. The open upper deck was perfect and the three of us enjoyed seeing the sights and people watching with a bird’s eye view. Well worth the money spent.
Gale was fantastic! The weather held out but she had ponchos at the ready for all of us on the open top deck. She was fun and kept everyone engaged. Great value for money on the night tour. Would do it again!
We did the night tour, and parts of the website say 1.5 hours and others say 2. It was 2 hours and well worth it getting to tour the city on top of the big bus and getting out at the Iwo Jima monument and Lincoln Memorial was great. Danny was excellent answering questions leading up to the actual bus ride and kept order for all of us while we waited. He even kept us all informed of what to expect and kept us all laughing! Ms. Gale was our bus driver and she was awesome! She made sure everyone understood what to expect next, drove safely and also inserted some humor and facts into the experience, and she was amazingly welcoming and hospitable. She even went above and beyond and helped us find our car late at night after the tour - thanks again Ms. Gale!
