Surprised by the quality of the breakfast here! Very very good! I love the presentation, the coffee mugs and plates, very original l think l took the farmer’s daughter which was a generous portion that l could’nt finish. Cons: it took a while for the food to come And Please get rid of those empty hot sauce bottles on the shelf because l wasted my time trying to find a good one Had an slight electronic pain in my stomach after the brunch, l wonder if it’s because of eating sprouts for the first time
If you have ever wanted a biscuit the size of an 80lb bag of concrete, this is your place. Rest assured, the biscuit was absolutely delectable, with a slight crust and soft and slightly sweet interior. Steamed eggs are delightfully fluffy as well, and one serving here is about the size of your average throw pillow. The potatoes were quite savory and yet not too heavy as they are baked, instead of fried. Their baked goods and coffee are well worth the visit. My only withholding would be their bacon. It was cooked well, but lacked a crisp or crumble expected, but hardly a setback as their real are to shine is their coffee and baked goods.
Great indoor and outdoor seating, HUGE breakfasts good vegetarian choices like tofu, plenty of reusable silverware and mugs, and the best selection of bakery items in Boise. We had the white chocolate/raspberry scone and didn't care for it hypersweet and doughy but the pumpkin spice muffin and berry shortbread were divine. Plenty of breakfast items but be prepared to add your own flavorings salt, sauce to make them less bland Dining in is pretty sustainable, but takeout is pretty plastic-y. Coffee is excellent. Get there earlyish: we got there 5 minutes before the line extended all the way back to the door.
I had never been here before. So, I asked one of the custumers what his favorite was there, when I was waiting in line, and he said, "everything" I then ordered the biscuits with gravy. Wow! I heard about how giant the biscuits were but seeing is believing. They even had bacon bits in the middle. Great atmosphere. I also walked away with a mouthwatering lemon bar. Handicap accessibility. I took pictures of the menu and monthly special.
Easily the best breakfast restaurant in Boise! If you’re in Meridian, check out Terri’s Cafe. Big City gives enormous serving sizes, so consider splitting a meal between two people, or two meals between three people. All the food is delicious and fresh, and the menu is fun and creative. This is one of my top 5 restaurants in Boise, and I really hope you take a morning to experience it.
That's what I am talking about! 5+ stars for being a collectic environment, clean, friendly, humongous portions, delicious Chai tea...the bomb! The only thing I would personally add improvement to is the gravy for the biscuits. It was a little bland. I absolutely look forward to returning every time I am in town! Such a cool place! Love the vibe!
Oh my heavens! The baked goods here are sinful! I got a coconut cream scone and a 7 layer bar. These things are huge!! Very friendly staff and cute little spot. I drove from accross town to check them out. I like trying local coffee shops vs the chains. This one is a winner!Food: 5/5
Lively neighborhood hangout. I was surprised to see BCC so busy on a Monday afternoon. There was a line at the register, and every table was taken. The other surprise was the expanded pastry selection: scones in variety, even unusual ones like coconut cream pie scone! And fresh baked, which you really have to have. See the pictures for an impression of the original design; it is a lot of fun to take a closer look at all the signs, posters, and paraphernalia that are everywhere. I came back, again to a great selection of scones . Bear claw almond scone, anyone - see pics. Busy again, friendly people as usual, few empty tables. Come back!
Very good coffee, relaxed atmosphere, very very friendly and attentive staff. Latte was above average, the oreo no bake bar I had should probably be illegal it was excellent but heavy lol.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
This, 1st pic,+ a monster Corn Bread is what $11 breakfast looks like in Big City Coffee, Linen District Boise, Idaho. Basically for 2 people. I miss a lot of “things Miami”, but not the overpriced- Instagram Avocado toast that leaves everyone hungry. Very mom n pops here, highly recommend. I will say you may not need the cornbread or the toasts if you’re eating solo; I only say that because I don’t like wasting food. Ps- to the management, if you’re reading, this beautiful place doesn’t pop up on google when you type in “breakfast” only when you type “coffee”
