Omg, delicious! We stopped in with some friends that live in PH and got more than we expected! The food was SO GOOD, it had that small town feel, and to top it off… a sweet old lady was celebrating her 100th birthday when we were there and it just added to the charm of our experience. I would FOR SURE stop by again. Oh, forgot to mention… they have THE BEST cornbread I’ve ever had!!
A little mom and pop diner in a historic building. Unfortunately, in some ways "historic" seems more like "dilapidated." The service was friendly though very slow and the food was decent and hot. Prices were reasonable.Food: 4/5
This place has delicious food. We've been several times and everything I've tried is really tasty. The service seems tired and moody no matter when we go and twice it took over an hour to get our food the first time at least they warned usFood: 5/5
My granny and I waited a little over 30 minutes for our food. The food we ordered, she had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans and i had the french dip sandwich and fries. It was warm and some parts cold. Mine was also dry. She said hers had no flavor. There was kids from the age of 2 to like 13 running all over the restaurant. One seemed to be serving tables. And the reason for our food taking so long was there was a big table in front of us. There was a couple that came in 10 minutes after us that got there food before us. They even had to set other people together cause people keep coming in. Part of the reason I stayed thought with all the traffic it must be worth the wait. Nope. We sent our food back and the waitress took care of it. The 2 year old was hers and she was taking care of her and her husband's table.
Staff was friendly and great service. Speedy, courteous and accurate. Their recommendations were good. I have the pork tenderloin. Its huge for the price. Overall it was good. Not 5 star which I reserve for a true 5 star but great local food and downtime environment. Gravy wasn't salty and green beans where like mom would make.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: Yes
We ordered meatloaf & hot beef sandwich. At 45 minutes the waitress says that those items are prepared by order. They make it, freeze it, thaw it? Then serve it? Craziness..when we asked about our meals the waitress launches into all the reasons for our wait.. then says " if your going to be rude I can ask you to leave". You don't have to ask me to leave.. I left and went to Donna's/Roosters on Harrisonville.. Skip this place..
We had a very pleasant breakfast. THR food was good and plentiful for a decent price. The location is great if you want to walk around and visit the shops of Pleasant Hill afterwards. Vegetarian options: There are a number of options to choose from.
Stopped in first time and no one greeted us. Waited a few minutes and finally someone told us where to sit. Sat and waited a good 15 minutes - no menus, no one said a word to us. I finally asked a waitress that kept walking past us for some menus and she rudely says "yah" and with as sarcastic as she was, we decided to leave. As she comes back with menus she nonchalantly says "leaving?" all rude. When we said yes she walked off without saying a word. If you don't have time for new customers, maybe just put a sign on your door so you don't waste interested patrons' time.
Four of us stopped in here for brunch while in Pleasant Hill and I'm we did. Humble digs with great food is what we thought. From cheeseburgers to omelets, two thumbs up!
Was seated quickly and drinks came quickly when they first came to take our order we needed a moment still then after we knew what we wanted it took while to place our order but it was ok my main complaint came from after being told our order was done just waiting on one thing multiple times i was told once it had just came up just needed one thing then 15 min later i was told my food had just come up and was waiting for one thing we so either I was lied to the first time or it sat with no heat lamp for 15ish min waiting for one thing we left with no food other then the bowl of peaches they gave to my 1 year old who was fussing to eat after waiting over 45min after we ordered a few other tables also walked out due to not getting food
