You know what your getting with Big Lots but the differentiation comes with the customer service and cleanliness of the store. This location boasted clean walking spaces, fully stocked products at good valued prices, and a helpful customer service staff. Not too busy and had an easy parking lot with ample amount of spaces. Overall a very good experience shopping here.
I went to 3 other stores to buy a food scale. The cheapest one I could find was $30! For a food scale! C'mon people! Really? ‍ And the employees at the other stores... not so friendly! I walked into Big Lots and the very nice lady behind the counter yelled out: "Welcome to Big Lots!" I said: "Thanks!" and walked into the store. As I was walking into the store, another employee, a very nice gentleman, asked me: "Do you need some assistance?" I stopped, looked at him, and said: "Why yes I do! Where are your food scales and do you carry them?" Much to my surprise... Not only did he say they had them, but he walked me all the way over to where they were! Usually employees just point! Much to my surprise, not only did they have a very nice digital food scale, but it was only $15! WOOT! SCORE! SUCCESS! While I was there I picked up a few other things as well. I love Big Lots! This place kicks buttisimo! Name brands at low prices! I love it! What a great staff they have here at the Mission Viejo Big Lots! THEY NEED TO BE RECOGNIZED! I've been to other BL's... and they weren't THIS good! In the future I will always check Big Lots first! The one in Mission Viejo on LaPaz and Marguerite. I don't know who the GM is of this place, but you are definitely doing it right! Keep up the Great work!
The cashier serving customers when I checked out, a tall blond lady, was one of the most attentive yet efficient people I have ever met. I watched her kindly serve a disabled man in line before me. The only reason for the 4/5 rating is that you did not have the main item I came in for, Soundbody Gentle face cleanser.
Walked into Big Lots on La Paz and I was shocked at the changes that were made in the store. The place is huge looking inside. They also have a larger selection of food/snacks/beverages etc then they ever had! Definitely if the funds are low, go to Big Lots!!
Id love to give a 5 because I love and am very loyal to Big Lots, am a rewards member etc, bought several very affordable furniture oueces and scads of other home decor... seasonal closeouts are great! On already good prices. But have had several recent frustrations. 1 I needed to return apatio umbrella Id ordered online, and only had the order number, no receipt spent too much time on hold, confirming that it was ALL I needed. Not true. When I returned it to store was given credit on the wrong /smaller one, so that was fiasco...almost got credited for both, but I reminded them they need to recharge me! 2 Item I wanted was listed twice w 2 diff prices on line. The much higher of which matched the tagged store price. I had a new mover coupon I was excited to maximize for this very specific need, and a but cant use it online. Trotted all over south county. Trying to find one in stock. In researching for me, the clerk saw it was the lower price in his book! WTH! But no one had it or its partner piece, nor would they let me buy the floor models. Very disappointed at this kooky combo, that meant i cant get it ...period! I settled for a pull out loveseat and stools for my coupon, but had to go to yet another store to get both. I'm still sad about hassling to get right info, credit and actually missed out on the credenza. :/ Also note: delivery is not free, regardless of amount spent nor is any assembly. Factor that into that "great price".
Best stocked Big Lots store I have ever seen!! Bought stuff I didn't know I needed LOL . Joseph is a great cashier and knowledgeable salesman!!
Always great deals at Big Lots and who doesn't need a deal these days. Picked up Silicone spatula for $4.50 and shampoo/conditioner for $1.19 each for 28oz. Ya it's a Tressame knock off but works just as good.
The rearrangement of this store is a big improvement, feels more roomy. Today I encountered one of the nicest cashiers, her name is Linda. She is very much a people person, humorous and patient as I fumbled with the card reader. My wife and I left with a smile all the way to the car.
I visited Big Lots on Lapaz, Mission Viejo today April 27, 2022. I was looking for some products and employee Andrea and Mike helped me. I have received the exceptional services from them. They are professional, kind and very helpful. Very pleasant shopping experience. Thank you so much.
I bought my new recliner here, which I am sitting in as I write. The price was good, and the people were very helpful. Even helped me load it up. I even found a new snack, dried tangerines. So good. So howl cool is all this? A new chair and a new snack. Life is good. Plenty of parking and wheelchair friendly. Go take a look!
