Pleasantly surprised on my trip here. I haven’t been to a Big Lots in a very, very long time but came here as a last resort after driving to several stores in the area looking for a particular gift. I found it at a great price here..and picked up a bunch of Christmas decor for my home that was on sale too! The elderly woman at the register was very kind and overall it was a great experience. Some nice finds and really great value. I’ll visit again in the new year!

Came in like 3 times on different days and maybe twice on one day and she didn’t even get annoyed of us I hope or wish she got commission off of what we bought! She deserves it! I see how hard she works and she’s always keeping busy, everytime I have seen her she’s either helping a customer, putting stuff away, training a new person. Thank you again Brittany! Very nice selection of home furniture, lamps, tables, throws....I will definitely go in the future. The sales lady was very professional, patient, just outstanding.
I was there about a week ago and left my card, when I came back this week a very sweet associate recognized me and gave it back after verification with the manager, I love shopping here I always find what I need and was surprised to find small cabinet groceries as well!
The manager told me they had been there all day and didn't really want to do my exchange because it was closing time the black guy manager ?. I stood in line for at least 15 minutes. Was that supposed to be my problem??
This location has lazy employees. It has happened several times that I can not find what I came for. I looked it up online and they said they had 6 flower pots. I asked 3 different people to help me find it. 2 people told me that if I can not find it on the shelf that they don't have it. the 3rd person offered to help me look for it but I had already spent a half an hour looking for it. Of course it wasn't on the shelf in the first place so all the looking would not find it. Finally I asked a helpful clerk named Marci for help. She went into the stock room and found a box with the 6 flower pots in it. She's an amazing employee! I wish I could say the same for all the other employees who did not help me.
"Dave", the manager will hang up on you and refuse to help you with your order, after you paid for it. Update from the next day. So, I waited the entire day for my delivery, 9am to 9pm, and after the manager, Dave, refused to look up my order, and I called customer service, and they assured me my order was coming, my order was delivered to the wrong house, and cancelled, with customer support not even willing to tell me why my order was cancelled, I had to get a confused call from some random lady who was accidentally delivered a free couch to find that out. I then had re place my order, but the website wouldnt send it to any store for delivery except this one, and they just cancelled my order again, so I had to pick it up by hand from a different store. I had surgery a few days earlier, so picking up the couch hurt me quite a bit. This has to be the worst store I've done business with in my life.
Great store but so many things don't have prices on them.
It's a great place to go when you need to pick up "stuff". prices are good but they don't necessarily have the same products every single time you go in simply due to the nature of their business model. But when it's there it's well priced. They're seasonal areas are pretty good, especially at the end of the season. I've got a nice variety of linens and pillows and rugs and such pretty much but you can find pretty much anything there - but depending upon what you're looking for oh, there's very little variety. They have nice looking an inexpensive furniture.
This store was clean. The only problem was the emptiness of some of the shelves. The chemical area was very low in stock and unfortunately I needed some kitchen cleaner that was not available. Cashier was super friendly and will definitely shop at this location, Madison Heights, again.
