Changed ownership. New owners don’t take credit/debit..staff claim it costs $2000 a month to rent the credit card machine and .50 cent per swipe. Maybe they should check out square readers, much easier and cheaper. Also, very limited menu and very pricey items. We left and went up to jacks place in Leona valley. Much better establishment

Then though my boyfriend and I don't drink they all are super friendly. Awesome place to have a really good steak and potatoes!... Pricey but worth every penny!

A tiny Oasis in the middle of the high desert, the Big Oaks Lodge is quite a surprise to find on a tiny backroad in the middle of nowhere. I saw motorcycles outside and decided to stop and wet my whistle on 100 degree day last summer. I saw a full dining room with fresh salmon on the menu that night though I did not eat. Very friendly and interesting place, I recommend you stop in for a beer if you are passing by.

We arrived at 520pm on Saturday 12/20/14. Bartender was nice enough but the reason for the bad review is because they were out of most things and running out of more as I write this review. First out of Tri_tip. Then found out she only had enough for one drink...of two types of tequila.Then out of wings, onion rings, chicken and pork tamales...and only one cheese left. Then she ran out of limes. At this point it appeared they had burgers and pepperoni pizza. I question why the owner doesn't stock better. Will be back another day and hopefully better experience. If so then I wll adjust my review. Ps. Decor is great and they have outside fire pit and tv.

I can not get enough of this place, if I lived closer, I would be here 3 to 4 times a week...great food, great atmosphere, and really good beer...

A quaint & historic place with good food, quality service, fair prices, and cold beer for a stop along the road on a motorcycle ride.

Just heard it burned down. So sad, was my local place to go for the last 25 years. Lots of memories still.
