If you have ever spent anytime at RV Parks you will know there are good ones, bad ones, and great ones. Big Pines is a Great one, Tina is the Site Manager and she is the nicest and always makes you feel at home. I spent one season May to October at their RV rental site and it was a great experience and probably my favorite campground to date. Showers are clean and well maintained, the sites are clean and well maintained and everyone is friendly and welcoming. The 2 on-site washer and dryers are both clean and work well. The common area has a bunch of board games, puzzles, kids toys and a couple arcade games which my son loved while I did laundry. Just a short walk depending on your location in the park there is a really nice little creek beside the park that you can have your dogs or kids play in and right before that is a large kids playground with swings and a sandbox that will keep your kids having fun all summer long. Location is perfect as it is so close to mainstreet, and Ace hardware for any RV needs. Very quiet park overall and everyone who came through was always friendly. Really nice park overall. Only recommendation I would say is invest in a mosquito net to save you while you are enjoying your time outside. At night around 9pm the mosquitoes come out in full force and you do not want to be outside without some sort of screening.
Some might not like the location. Pretty rural, but about halfway between Bend, OR and Crater Lake National Park. In our travels of the local area, the location was perfect for us. Spacious well laid out lots with shade. Great place to walk the dogs, and the shower house was one of the best. Privately owned and the grounds are well taken care of. Lots of pine trees to provide shade. Bend and Crater Lake were an hour drive. The best campground we saw in the area.
Very nice RV Park. Clean and staff was awesome. Spots are large enough for 40+ RV's but try to get in the trees. It's a drive to Bend but it is still a great place. Downfall is the highway near by. Still a great place to stay. Stop in and see Bruce, stay awhile and check out the surroundings.Service: 5/5
First off, I usually avoid RV parks because the pricing is always more than we can justify for our tiny rig. However, we were desperate for a shower and a nap. We didn't regret our decision. Extremely friendly staff. No hassle registration. You even get a personal escort to your site. Sites are large and not cramped. Grounds are clean and kept. So far, no excessive road noise or neighbor noise. The most important part- bathrooms. Very clean. The shower house even has a waiting room in case there is no available shower. The shower/bathroom is very large and homey. Their pricing isn't high for an RV park with these amenities. You get full hookups and wifi and cable if you want it, and of course... Clean, spacious bathrooms. We will continue to hunt for free or cheap camping while we travel, but if you're passing through the area and need the amenities, or you're a diesel pusher needing a place to hook up, this is the place. I know prices change regionally and seasonally in places, but I've seen mediocre RV parks charging more money for less atmosphere. I reserve Google reviews for either extremely good experiences or extremely bad experiences, so congrats to Big Pines for earning this review.
Our stay at Big Pines was unfortunately cut short and we wish we could have stayed longer. This park is a gem with friendly and accommodating long term owners of 20+ years which is hard to come by with all the big corporations buying out local parks. Spacious sites, clean amenities. We stayed in the newer section which had plenty of room and no issues with hookups. Highly recommend staying here!
Average RV park. Trees and big spaces a plus. Some street noise. Neighbourhood a little run down, I wanted to go jogging but did not feel safe. OK for a night, but we would not stay longer.
So easy to check in. We were so tired from driving and they had a open spaces and an easy pay in the morning system. We ended up staying two nights. The amenities were so nice and clean.
Very easy and friendly check-in. Escorted to our site and made sure we had everything we needed. Full hookup with CATV and wifi. Very clean and nice.
Sites are big, pull thrus, and beautiful!! Here late in season, we feel they should be FULL in the prime season!! Convenient for seeing all the sites around the area. Recommend Highly!!!Service: 5/5
