Description

Big Valley Animal Hospital is a 4 doctor veterinary hospital located in Reedsville, Pa. We accept new clients from cats and dogs to horses and cows. We have scheduled surgeries Monday - Friday. Here at Big Valley we are able to perform many surgical tasks, as well as day to day annual exams.

I’m giving a 5 stars review because this is the service that I have been getting from Dr. P and his staff! They have always taken very good care of my German Shepards! Thanks to all of you for what you do! Gary Huffnagle
Been going to Dr. Patorti my whole life. Same with everyone in our family. Our dog has a growth above his eye that needs removed. The doctor had one appointment in May to remove it before August due to staffing issues at the office. We were not able to take the appointment in May because we had to go out of town. We were fine with waiting until August and we understood the circumstances. Unfortunately the growth has gotten much worse and it’s really starting to bother our dog. So for his sake we called another vet who said they would be happy to take him if Dr. Patorti would fill out an online referral that would take about 15 minutes. Called Big Valley office and asked and was told they would do it. That was about four or five days ago. Never got the referral. Called several times and never got an answer. Called a final time and the doctor’s charming wife got on the phone and told me he would get to it when he gets to it. I wasn’t the only person in the world and he’s busy so you’ll just wait. It became obvious that he was either offended that we were going somewhere else or it was the money. Probably both. I don’t quite understand a vet taking a position like this about a patient and a customer. My dog needs surgery and it’s quite clear Dr. Patorti wasn’t going to help get him get treated because he decided to put his own self interest ahead of a patient’s. I called the other vet and thankfully they are going to help despite the good Dr. Patorti’s lack of cooperation.
Very good and honest. We rescue an amazing havanese from pet come first and they neglected to tell us she had a dental issue and insisted we do not take her to the vet until after months because she was "vetted" and "was in good health". 3 days in our poor baby lost a tooth. It just fell off . Long story short, our vet that sees our Guinea pig did not have space for emergency dental surgery that our new baby needed. Our vet told us, she was in a lot of pain and HAD been for a long time given the severity of her teeth infection and decay. So we had to rush and find another vet. This vet took us in and performed a successfully dental surgery and our baby is happy and healthy. Thank you Big Valley Team! I particularly liked one of the tech. She has very dark hair and pale skin. She was nice. I think her name is heather. The female doctor was very nice and approachable also. The reception help lacked and were not particularly friendly, but if you can get pass that, the pros in the back are good. We paid a bit over $500 but given how we were quoted from places in State College that could not do the surgery for weeks. I think it was well worth it. Look at our toothless princess! She has even gain 1 pound since her surgery. Thank you!!
Great, they took their time, where polite, and explained everything. Highly recommend it.
They are very good with pets. Would recommend taking your pets to this vet. BUT my grandmother took her dog for his appointment. Her dog gets excited but would never hurt another dog. Her dog spun her around and had her on the floor. No one at the office offered to help her off the floor nor checked on her. Meanwhile the lady was typing away on the computer not having a care in the world. Honestly very awful. The staff couldn’t help my grandmother off the floor or to ask if she was okay.
Best veterinarian hospital I been to . The service is great the people there really do care about what they do . My boy bocephus loves the visits!
They are very friendly and very helpful and made my little girl feel better before we left the building, also there has been a dr in the office every time I've called unlike other places I've called and have been told we couldnt see a dr for a week or more , this place definitely gets 5 stars and then some :
"Dr.s P" have both taken compassionate care of our kitties, even when the outcomes haven't been favorable. Reasonable pricing and after-hours services available on a case by case basis.
We love Big Valley! So accommodating and caring. I would never go anywhere else. I know my fur babies are always in good hands when we visit! 10/10 would recommend!
Such a pleasant experience. I have never been disappointed with any of the professional staff, nor the administrative staff. I recently had to reschedule an appointment twice due to work obligations, and the administrative staff was so very understanding and helpful.
