I have used Bill's Lock Shop for years. Peter has always done an excellent job rekeying locks for me. He goes to great lengths to make sure locks and keys work perfectly before he gives them back to you. I always call ahead to make sure he is in as sometimes he is out during the day making job calls.
I have used Bill's Lock Shop a few times for my lock work needs. The service is great and the prices are very reasonable. They have been around for many years and the owner, Peter is very pleasant and knowledgeable about all things lock work. You can tell he truly enjoys helping his customers. Would highly recommend this Lock Shop!
We have worked with Pete of Bill's Lock Shop a number of times over the years. Typical locksmith stuff, rekeys, lock repair, lock changes, and the like. It is our philosophy to find good local independent service vendors mechanic, appliance repair, yard work, locksmith, etc that are pleasant, responsive, reasonably priced, and do quality work. Bill's Lock Shop falls squarely in that category.
This is for Friday 12/29/18 at 12:30PM. The person at the counter was extremely rude and unprofessional. I had to yell across the store multiple times for several minutes until some yappy dog comes out from the back room to stare at me followed by a man. I asked to have a key duplicated and when he said he didn't think he had it, I spotted one that looked almost identical to mine and asked him if that might be it. Looking at me like I was dumb as a rock for exactly 10 seconds, he proceeded to say "do you want to do my job for me?" with a condescending attitude. I suppose I would be this way if I was in a dying industry where automated kiosks at Safeway are replacing my business. In any case, I asked for my keys back instantly and quickly left. I found a place that actually understands a basic concept such as how to talk to a customer. You know, the kind of thing you need to do in order to operate in the capacity of a customer facing role on a day-to-day basis. Step up your game, Bill. In 2018, you can't talk to customers like that if you wish to stay in business.
Great place for specialty lock work. I had an old odd key that typical hardware store couldn't match, but no problem copying at Bill's. Shop is tucked in a little back of the street on El Camino.
