I love this place! There's several levels of difficulty depending on which trail you take. My kids absolutely loved it and requested we go again! Gorgeous views. Don't forget bug spray though
Great preserve with hills or flats - whatever you like. Lots of trails. Gets muddy so be prepared. 50c/hour parking is annoying because the machine to pay was quirky. But tough it out for some scenery, birds, flowers, etcVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$1–5
We had time on our hands so we searched for a place to go hiking. Binghamton University Nature Preserve did not disappoint! It was buggy, muddy and steep, but the vista and challenging climb was worth it. Warning though, you have to enjoy the challenge.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
I love this place . I have been coming here since the early 1970's. Many, many trails to discover and hike on. One can do an easy 1 mile flat hike from the parking area along the main lakes, across the bridge and back on the other side. Or one can go on hikes dor 2, 3, 4 miles.. beautiful scenery.. beaver hones, beaver dams, wildlife from baby geese, deer, eagles, hawks frogs, turtles and even more. Peaceful and tranquil.. I hike here around 50 times a year. There is a large map placed at the beginning of the trails at parking lot M. Take a photo of it so you can change your hike as you go if you wish. All trails are well traveled and well marked as well as color coded. One can't get lost. Every season is beautiful.. I hike all 12 months here. Just go. You will love it and return for 50 years like I have.
One of the most amazing spots in the Southern Tier. Very relaxing and very encouraging to recharge and connect with nature. When you need an escape. Jealous of all the BU Kids who get to live near this trail and enjoy its offerings everydayVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entryFree
Wonderful place to get close to nature! You will find beaver habitats while hiking.
If you’re looking for a leisurely hike and wildlife this is the place!! Can get muddy when it rains!! Snakes, slugs, birds are just a few animals you will see!
Nice, easy hiking trail, and tons of wildlife. We saw many Eastern Newts, Mushrooms, a Garter Snake, Frogs, Deer, Ducks, Woodchucks, Spiders of coarse, and a millipede
Lots of well marked trails! Love that it's dog friendly.
Nice place to do some hiking. There's a beaver dam, awesome.
