We stayed here for two nights and it was a great experience. It was close to where we needed to be when we were visiting family. It was close to the main road but far enough away that we didn't hear traffic all night. It was very well lit at night which made me feel safe when walking the dog or walking to and from the bathrooms. Everything from the bathrooms to showers to pool were very clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and well organized. We're happy we found a place we can bring out camper when visiting the Birmingham area.
We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed our visit. The campground is very clean as are the restrooms and showers. The staff was very accommodating, we let them know we were traveling with our 3 teenagers that all have a physical disability and the staff was able to give us a site near the restrooms/showers. This made it easier for our kids to get to the showers. The women in the office were very pleasant. My kids enjoyed the game room and the pool. The campground is very quiet at night which I like. We will be returning next year as the Move United Nationals are being held in Hoover AL for a 2nd year.
What a great campground! Close to I-65, easy check in, the office staff was so wonderful, they escort you to your spot. Great little store and it was immaculate. Clean laundry room and bath house, pool was clean and relaxing. They have a great gameroom, we enjoyed foosball and ping pong while our laundry was going. What a true campground should be. Very lovely place. 5 stars.
I have completely enjoyed my stay here with my small dog. We always felt very welcome. The staff have been very helpful and very friendly - including to the wee dog! The enclosed dog play area was perfect. The facilities are super clean and everything you need. The site is great. Very convenient location for getting into Birmingham. And I felt VERY safe here. Nearby activities: Birmingham very accessible from here - without having to be in Birmingham. And lots of services by - like doggie day care and various shops and markets minutes away. Safety: Travelling solo, appreciate a place where I feel safe walking morning moon or night! Walkability: While not a large site, lots of trees and pathways for meandering.
Just stayed one night while passing through. The staff was awesome. Even escorted us to our camp site. The showers were very nice and clean. Loved that they had exhaust fans. Lol. Can’t wait to go back!!
Great place for an overnight! Right off the highway, nice and clean, quiet and the staff was very friendly. There was a nice pool we didn’t have time but looked. We had a new concrete pad and it was the bomb! Will definitely stay here again if we head that way!Rooms: 5/5
Beautiful setting! We appreciated the large shade trees and the sites aren’t super tight. Dog park is very small, but staff were friendly, park was clean and the pool looked nice. Nice playground area for children. We were just passing through so didn’t use a lot of the amenities but would definitely stay here again when in the area.
We stopped for one night on our way to Florida and it was easy to get to. Fast check in, super friendly staff, and the pool and showers were better than I was expecting. The pull through site wasn’t anything fancy, but full hook up made it very easy on us! Would definitely stay again.Rooms: 4/5
Great location with not being too far away from Birmingham, but still felt like it was it away from the city. The front desk was friendly and they escort you to your camp site so there's no way to get lost. The pool was nicely maintained as well the campground as a whole. The only negative thing I can say is most of the playground equipment could stand to be replaced as is it's got some serious wear. Other than that, this was a great experience and I would go back again.
I'd give it three stars overall. Recommended use for quick stop overnight only. One good point is that it was just off the highway and next to a Home Depot we needed something from a the HD. The park was okay. The pool was clean, but nothing special. No hot tub. The pool furniture was cheap and dirty. The staff was nice, but my neighbor did not use anything on his sewer hose - so we had and awful smell from his RV. Staff said they enforce that stuff but nothing was done while I was there. And the lid to our sewer connection was broken. Lots of dogs - the owners let them bark - ALL the time. Nearby activities: Too far to do anything without driving. Visit the Sloss Foundry Museum.
