The Business Information Systems Program in the College of Business at Tennessee State University prepares students to be effective users, developers, and managers of information technologies/systems in organizations. It provides students with practical knowledge on how information technology can contribute to an organization and how to develop and apply information technology-based business solutions. The strength of BIS major lies in his/her ability to combine an understanding of business with the knowledge of information systems and technology to help organizations compete more successfully or streamline current operations. The BIS student is invaluable to Organizations because of their aptitude for applying technology solutions to solving business problems.
