History:
Bits & Pieces is a resale store that supports the Family Crisis Center's programs and services. The mission of the Center is to be the expert resource and service provider in eliminating domestic and sexual violence in Bastrop, Colorado, Fayette and Lee Counties. The Center envisions a safe community built on equality without the existence of violence.
Purpose:
The Center established Bits & Pieces in order to generate support for agency programs and services. The store started out as a series of garage sales organized by volunteers in 1992. Since then, it has grown into a valuable resource for the Center and the community. The thrift store has consistently generated profits that directly support services for individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by domestic and sexual violence.
