BJ's ATV Rentals, Parts, Accessories & Repairs, Inc., is a large shop in the town of Grover Beach, California, founded and owned by John "BJ" Aitkens and Evelyn Valentino. *NEW OWNER: Wayne Foster* Besides renting ATV's for riding on the Oceano Dunes, we carry everything you might need for a good day riding in the sand, including ATV and dirt bike parts and accessories - both dealer and aftermarket. We stock parts and accessories at reasonable prices. If we don't have it, we can get it in a day or two. If you need a "quick repair" to finish your weekend on the beach, we can help!

We had an absolutely amazing time with BJ ATV Rental in Grover Beach! From start to finish, their service was great and made our adventure safe & memorable. The staff at BJ ATV Rental were helpful and friendly. They took the time to ensure we understood all safety guidelines and operating instructions before setting out on our ATV adventure. This emphasis on safety made us feel confident throughout the entire experience. Renting from BJ ATV Rental was a breeze. They have two convenient locations: one on Grand Ave and another right on the beach, just beyond the second on-ramp. The flexibility to choose a location was fantastic, as it allowed us to tailor our adventure to our preferences. The ATVs themselves were in good condition and ran flawlessly throughout our excursion. We encountered no issues whatsoever, allowing us to focus solely on having an amazing time exploring the beautiful surroundings. If you're looking for a thrilling ATV experience in Grover Beach, I highly recommend BJ ATV Rental. Their helpful and friendly staff, strong commitment to safety, and maintained ATVs make them the perfect choice for an unforgettable adventure. We had an absolute blast and will definitely be returning for more fun in the future!
Had a great time. The atv dunes where very fun. Some dunes are a little hard for beginners. But overall very good. By the way the drops are anywhere from 5 feet to 150 feet.
I had an HORRIFIC experience of renting ATVs from BJ's ATV Rental, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. I made a reservation in advance, thinking it would save time during check-in, but I couldn't have been more wrong. The whole process was poorly organized and inefficient. Upon arriving, we were met with two lines: one for reservations and the other for walk-ins. Shockingly, the walk-in line moved at a much faster pace, leaving those of us who had paid ahead of time waiting for over an hour and a half just to be served. It was frustrating and made absolutely no sense. To make matters worse, the manager, an older white lady, was extremely rude and unprofessional. When I inquired about changing the ATV since the one I wanted wasn't available, she responded with a snide remark, "how about it's not available!" It was apparent that customer service was the last thing on her mind. The entire establishment seemed chaotic and disorganized, giving the impression that they had no clue how to run their business. The staff's incompetence and lack of courtesy were astonishing. I felt disrespected and even discriminated against due to the manager's rude attitude. It was an uncomfortable and distressing experience. As if that wasn't bad enough, the condition of the ATVs was terrible. Half of them seemed to be broken, and they continuously broke down during our supposed 2-hour ride. This made the already short ride even more disappointing, wasting much of our time. Adding insult to injury, the helmets provided were absolutely disgusting. They reeked and appeared as though they had never been cleaned. It was unsanitary and unacceptable, putting our safety at risk. I cannot emphasize this enough: avoid BJ's ATV Rental at all costs. Their lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and low-quality equipment make it a place to steer clear of. There are undoubtedly better ATV rental locations in the area, and I regret not choosing one of them instead. Save yourself the frustration and disappointment and book from a different rental service. Trust me; you'll thank yourself later.
#1 Best Price... Thank you BJ's ATV Rentals for all your help. Cheapest price, Amazing Staff, very friendly & helpful. Took care of all our needs & renting was a breeze. We were 8 ladies rented 2 Honda Pioneers great Vehicles to drive. We decided to have an adventure & the thrill of driving our 15 passanger van on the beach. When we got to BJ's ATV Rentals pick up location, all excited parked our 15 passanger van in soft sand & when we tried to move it...to our surprise our van got stuck in the sand. The STAFF there told us to go enjoy & on return will help us get it out. When we were done, they were ready to help us. Moved all the sand out, tried to reverse, did not work. Then they tied a rope to our van & finally got our Van. We ladies really appreciated them. Made our trip worth every penny filled with fun, adventure & excitement.
We went in a group and booked a dozen of ATV in advance. They did not have enough automatic ones and hence we had to hire two manual ones. The sand dunes are great and big enough for wild ride. We enjoyed the ATV ride. Vehicles are not in great condition.
Pleasant experience with BJs. Booked reservations ahead of time but came across a deal afterwards from a competitor. I reached out to them to see if they would match deal and they did. They took care of us without hesitation and made the rental process easy. Arrived early to sign waiver forms. Drove to beach entrance which is just a couple minutes drive where we parked and they charted us to the site on the beach where all the vehicles are. Got instructed from their friendly staff and drove off from there. Had a party of 10 and half were kids. The Dunes are a must for all especially Californians and BJs helped make it a memorable one!
Had such a blast! Everyone is so helpful and friendly with such great staff. Logan and Tony in particular were so nice to us. In fact staff like them were the reason we came back in 2 weeks! Will always rent from them!
Great service. Went in on Monday the lady in the office was patient and explained everything well. The shuttle driver was friendly and knowledgeable. The guys running the location on the beach were helpful. The whole process was seamless. If you rent an atv follow the rules there should be no surprises. Just watch out in the dunes. The sand can be deceiving. Our first time so we took it slow and inspected the hills before driving over.
i brought my husband here for a surprise date and although we were nervous at first the worker did a good job at showing us how to work the atvs, there is also a handful of nice people out in the dunes helping eachother when getting stuck. i totally recommend going time flies even when i booked the 2 hour ride, the only thing i would say was that checking in did take little while but it was worth the wait and they also give you your full 2 hours when you arrive so didn’t really mind. definitely will return soon!!!!
