On Friday, December 23, 2022 I was at my local BJ’s located at 4365 Richmond Road Warrensville Heights, Ohio. The club manager is Parker Dayton. I had a transaction with this Caucasian lady who was at the door who check the receipts. A water and rice was not rung up on the receipt so she began talking to me like I was beneath her. She stated “can you comprehend what I am saying to you. Do you know how to subtract 16-14 which equals 2. She even wrote it on my receipt. She says clearly you can’t comprehend nor subtract. She said clearly you not smart enough to understand. The customer behind me who was African American experienced the same thing but she told her you don’t never have to worry about me being a customer. I went back to a cashier to pay for the missing items and asked could I talk to a manager. I even showed the manager where she wrote on my receipt 16-14=2. When I walked in she was handling a Caucasian family and did not do the same to them. I have been a member with this company for over 5 years and have never been treated like this. I told the manager that I spoke to I am very appalled and upset because I am highly educated. I’ve never experienced getting treated like this in my life.
Found everything I need and the price for certain items not too bad. I had to deduct stars because I had trouble scanning the e-gift card at the checkout. I called for assistance and the associate said that she has NEVER ever seen an e-gift card before and she punched in the card number and pin on her computer and it still didn't work. I felt really embarrassed. I used it last time and I know there's still a balance on it. I got home and check the balance online and there it is, the balance was still on the card. A very horrible experience for me!
Avoid this BJs!!! As another reviewer said, this store has a problem with theft. I ordered a TV and soundbar on the BJs website last week, for curbside pickup, by my husband. Employees gave away my order to some random person they claim was from DoorDash, and treated me like a liar and a thief, when I demanded a refund or replacement. There was NO option to select DoorDash pickup for my order, nor would I have chosen it! It took six days of calls to the store, stopping in the store twice, emails to their corporate office, and filing a police report with Warrensville Heights, to get a refund. Employees have horrible, nasty attitudes, from the cashiers to staff at customer service, to some management. Renee in management however, was pleasant. Store management insists they have no video of my order being given away, which is a crock. I will never step foot in this BJs again.
There has been an internal problem with theft here. Don't buy any big ticket items here like TVs. They will claim someone from DoorDash with an order number picked it up, but DoorDash doesn't do TV deliveries. Some employee in their store is stealing and claiming DoorDash picked up the items.
My mom ordered a 2k 60 in Samsung tv from this BJ’s, and had it set for in store pick up. When my mom went to customer service to pick it up they said that DoorDash took it to be delivered, even though my mom said there was no option for a DoorDash pickup. We went to the store to talk to the manager in person after being given the run around and he said the same thing about DoorDash and told my mom to call security tomorrow to have them check the cctv. The other employee we asked was rude too us too. Don’t shop here if you don’t want to be scammed.
This store is way too packed. not always a good thing The isles are usually wide enough for their carts but down a couple isles they have too much merchandise on the floor. Not the cleanest or most organized.
I am 8 months pregnant and went to buy water. I needed help putting the heavy water into my cart and then into my car. I went to customer service and asked for help putting it in my cart, and was told to look for two guys in red vests. I asked the person at the door for help, to put it in my car, he stood like an idiot and did nothing. I pulled my van up to the front and called the member services desk, who told me to ask a cart pusher. I got out and chased the cart pusher down and asked for help. The cart pusher was obviously annoyed that I had asked and it was apparent that I was a total bother. I've been going to this location for years, it's my neighborhood location, but I think I won't shop here again until after I deliver. Very disappointing. If I had been a pregnant white woman or the employees had been white, the first person I asked for help... which was someone at the customer service desk, would have arranged for someone to help me immediately, start to finish.
The store is always clean there is always something special in each department so when you come in be prepared to take your time and grab a coupon book from the front of store. The meat is always fresh and stock and the deli is very nice the lady's are friendly and it's very clean. The barkery is nice and clean and always something good to eat. And the lady at the of store is very nice and funny. The cashier that me and my daughter had today was very nice and friendly and helpful. I will be back again
I contacted the customer service department to ask some questions regarding a business membership and they referred me to Teresa Yosick, the Field Membership Sales Rep and she was absolutely wonderful. I was able to sign up with her and get my membership for cheaper. She is also mail in my card to me since I am not located near a BJ’s. She was very knowledgeable and went above and beyond to assist me! I look forward to continue to work with her.
Customer service at online order pickup counter is questionable. I walked over to the lane to pick up online order today when i got the the counter the lady told me no one told me to come to the counter yet and to stand in line than 1 second called me over than it took about 15 minuets to get the receipt for the order . There is no sign saying to wait in line until you are called so most people would be under the impression to walk up to the counter for service if no one else is inline ahead of you. Other than that its a good place to shop from my experience.
