Our dreamy barn is painted black in honor of the tobacco barns of the south and keeps with its authentic character with oak floors and 35' ceilings. The grounds at the ranch are beautifully landscaped with just enough color, but keeping true to the natural scenery of our farm. If you look closely you'll see running quail, deer, monarch butterflies, humming birds and bee's. What an awesome country home for a relaxing family gathering to reconnect with one another. Eight adults and 11 grandchildren made for an entertaining and active weekend. The 40 acres of trails, outdoor lawn games, fire pit with makings for smores, indoor table games and wonderful sleeping accommodations met all of our expectations and more! Heidi was amazing and communicated with us through our stay. She went out of her way to help set up the sleeping arrangements that included an inflatable queen mattress, port a crib, and two roll a way cots. We had a few questions and Heidi responded in a timely and helpful way. This is a great property for families and larger gatherings. Highly recommended.
The Black Barn property is a great peaceful and spacious getaway. Our group stayed in the comfortable guest house and felt very welcomed. The house has all the cookware and games we needed to arrive and feel at home. The hosts are great communicators and I hope to book the Black Barn guest house again for future retreats.
We celebrated our wedding 12/1/2017 at Stone Creek Ranch. The venue and grounds are stunning and Becky and Mark were very accommodating and easy to work with. The barn is beautifully lit at night and was able to accommodate our 100 guests and band comfortably. When we arrived the seating for the wedding was set perfectly and after table decorations were done it was absolutely everything I had imagined for our wedding day. The fire pit was so enjoyable to walk out to as it was an almost full moon night and you could enjoy the stars. Becky is very knowledgeable and helped us to make the best decisions and answered all of my many questions in a very timely manner. They even allowed our furry friend to participate and our pictures of the wedding are amazing. I thank you for making our wedding a most memorable occasion and all of our guests noted that it was one of the "most fun weddings they had ever attended." Thankfully, The Ryan's
Stone Creek Ranch was more than i could've asked for in a wedding venue. Mark and Becky did everything they could possibly do to make my wife and I's day special. they have beautiful land, great scenery, and an awesome sunset view. the barn looked amazing at night with the lights shining through. Mark and Becky offered to let us use decorations that they had for our wedding and were willing to move things around for us. When you have a conversation with them you can really tell that they love the land and are proud of how they have built the wedding venue into what it is today.
I got married a little over a month ago at this beautiful place. When I saw it for the first time I knew it was where I'd marry my best friend. Once I met Becky and Mark I just knew it was the best match for us. They are an amazing HARDWORKING much respect team that made everything I dreamed of come true. They have built an amazing venue and you can tell how much hard work is put into ever detail. They went out of their way to make sure my day was perfect! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
This venue is beautiful! The owners are spectacular! They pay attention to every detail. They met all of our requests with nothing but happiness and willingness! All of the things we didn't think of, they had. Mark and Becky were such a pleasure to deal with. They had very clear and understandable rules and guidelines to follow. They have set up everything to make your day go perfectly!
In response to Paige's claim stating that they were not notified of the need for handicap restrooms and that we told her we would be using crock pots instead of roasters. It's simply not true, they were notified. Please see the email exchange attached. Also, we've never communicated with Paige prior to these reviews. Becky and Mark were the ones we communicated with prior to the event and they were the only ones present during the wedding. So I can see how the details she is presenting might get mixed up.
As a wedding videographer I have been to A LOT of venues. I worked a wedding at Stone Creek in early September and it quickly became one of my favorite venues. To start it is BEAUTIFUL and very well laid out. The owners are very nice and accomadating and had everyone’s best interest in mind. Yes, they do have some rules but when you look into the rules and have a conversation with the owners about them, you understand why things are the way that they are nature preserve and I had zero problem obliging especially since it wasn’t anything crazy or outlandish don’t park on the plants, don’t start fires in the brush, don’t mess with bee hives, common sense things Barn venues typically have no power at all which is a HUGE bind for vendors so the numerous outlets and generators made available were music to my ears. Overall, if you’re looking to get married in a country/Barn type setting there really is no substitute to Stone Creek and you’d be crazy to pass it up if they have your date available.
We went to their pumpkin patch and had a great time. Our kids truly enjoyed it. Mark and Becky was so helpful and very nice. Their little boy Luke is so adorable, he helped our daughter picked out her perfect pumpkin. Can’t wait to see you guys soon!
I have been a DJ for over 20 years and have NEVER been treated as bad as I did by the owner of this venue. I am posting this to help the young couples who have dreamed about their perfect wedding. The whole barn setting seems to be the fad couples are going through right now. The whole rustic natural feel may be appealing, but you should really look at everything before your dream wedding is ruined. This venue has no heat, no air-conditioning, gaps between the sidewalls, and a metal roof. These are concerns that one should way out. When it rains on the metal roof it is so noisy inside that you can't hear the ceremony or the people next to you. The rain comes in between the side boards onto your beautiful decorations, cake and equipment.... Oh, and the bar and restrooms are outside with no cover. The walking path becomes a muddy half mulched mess that leaves your wedding dress, that you spent so much money on, a disaster, not to mention that it is virtually impossible for any handicapped or infirmed person to access. And, if the handicapped or infirm person makes it to the bathroom, they can not access the actual 'finished' bathroom, but rather have to use a smelly old 'Johnny On the Spot'. There are sooo many other barns that I have DJ'd in that are much better. If it is a beautiful sunny day and you want to have the ceremony outside in their wooded area, just be mindful that you can't use the venue's power. You have to supply your own generator. Why someone would use this venue, I have NO idea. I am not trying to convince anyone to use a certain place, but I am trying to help you not use this place. This venue is for a low-end event. If you think you can't afford anywhere else, keep looking... they are out there. If you decide to use this venue just know that I warned you. After 20+ years of DJing, I have decided to hang it up. Some might think... you're just a DJ, what do you know. After 20+ years of planning weddings and DJing everything from weddings to corporate events, I have seen a lot and learned a lot. At this particular venue I learned that the owners, who used about every profane word in the book, are not good people, but selfish. In response to the owner... I have no ill will toward you or your husband, but I see that you do towards me. Your response does nothing but verify the anger you have toward me, for telling the truth, and your clients as you posted, "More often than not we are met with rude bride and grooms, rude drunk guest, people with no redeeming qualities...". I am merely giving people, who haven't had the pleasure of meeting you, to know what to expect. I didn't post this comment to tear you down, but rather to be honest in hopes that you and your husband humble yourselves enough to treat people the way they should be treated, which will help you to become better people. Change the negatives into positives and watch your business grow to what it should be. I will not respond to your snide comments about or toward me as I am comfortable with the person I am and know that I am an honest person who treats people with the respect they deserve. Forget business 101... focus more on being a better person and you will find true peace.
