I just love the fees, I love it even more when they go up. Without the transfer fees black hills would just not be the same. I love the fact that the fees are more than the actual amount of gas and power that I use. Oh and I love the way they communicate. Their customer service is top notch. Best employees ever. The world would probably come to a sudden stop if they weren’t around…………… greedy people with lack of common sense. I can only imagine the pure joy the employees have working for such a scummy corporation
Wow. I am shocked at how bad this company is. I have used companies over the years in many different locations from AEP, to FPL, and even local companies. I have never had any experience nearly as bad as Black Hills. This company flat out lies about their meter reading. It is convenient that every other company in the country does electronic readings yet this company still does physical readings of the meter every month. I was moving from Cheyenne to Texas. I left the house for nearly a week prior and didn't have anything left in the house to draw power. Then I completely moved. They said that I used $65 in three days of not using the system. The lady on the phone said her name was "Andrew" but it was a female. She was completely unprofessional and frankly just plain rude. I requested to speak with a supervisor and she said one would call me. I have yet to get a call from a supervisor so I will continue to call until I get to speak with someone in charge.
Honestly I understand raising prices here and there but for a forced service provider in the area this is not ideal. Even the basic billing is shady- emailing out two-three weeks prior but not anywhere near the bill date so they can collect on late fees is just a shady way to run your business. You’re getting enough money from us, at least be a little more ethical in you practice.
Absolutely the worst utility provider ever. Online billing system never works right, I always have to pay by credit card and pay a "convenience fee" even though it's NOT convenient. Auto pay? What a joke. I've tried to sign up but it doesn't work. And then they call me 4 times in one day to harass me. If you want me to pay on time, clean up your dumpster-fire of an online billing system. I don't have time to spend an hour every month trying to pay a stupid, price gouged utility bill. Keep threatening to cut me off, IDGAF anymore.
My bill just keeps getting higher. It has more than doubled since I bought this house. DO NOT respond to this comment by saying you'll be happy to explain my bill. I know why you're charging so much, because you're the only one who services Wellington. I'll be dropping you as soon as I can.
Our daughter called BH Energy in February to get a transformer installed on their property. BHE has promised several times to install. Not only do they not show up, they don’t have the courtesy to at least call. This is NOT how anyone should do business! Our plan was to park our RV on our daughters property for part of the summer. We got here in July expecting to have electricity. Obviously we have no lights, no frig, no A/C- and it’s now Aug 21,2023. Btw Jef is our “planner”.
TERRIBLE COMPANY!!! I would give zero stars if possible. I 100% agree with all of the other reviews in regard to exploitation. What makes it even more mind boggling and aggravating, are the responses from the company saying, "please message me directly to go over your bill." That's not what we are asking for, because when we call to "go over the bill" we get excuses and justifications on WHY the pricing is so high, and why YOU feel it is okay. Y'all really know what you're doing though, jacking up the prices because you're the one of the only gas and electric companies available in the area, so people will HAVE to use you regardless. TERRIBLE!!
Absolutely cannot wait for another energy service to come to my area its ILLEGAL to operate a monopoly and price gouge and yet black hills has done it for over a decade with little to no care about the lives they effect. Gas is down 40% and prices are still rising this company is a joke if you have any other option i garuntee its better.
Been a forced customer for 10 years now, customer services is a joke. They don't seem to be able to get things scheduled in a timely manner. Their services techs are rude and careless. And the bills just continue to go sky high. How are we supposed to budget bill when every month you continue to raise the price. My household has cut back the heat and winterized the best we can and the bill continues to go up for less use. Please stop lining your pockets and start caring about your infrastructure community and customers!
Had multiple problems with payment, all on their end. Sometimes it takes them 2 weeks to pull my money after I pay them. They turn off the power to the HOSPITAL because people are protesting them. We need to protest them and their monopoly until the collapse. Terrible company, would give 0 stars if I could.
