Black Range Museum

Nice little museum in an old historic town. Always enjoy my visits to Hillsboro.

Informative tour of a historic business owned by entrepreneur Sadie Orchard at the turn of the 20th century.

Charming museum with friendly people! We got a tour of the museum from Garland. The building has been remodeled and is gorgeous inside. I loved that the history museum features the prominent women of Hillsboro, along with ranching, Native American, and the building's history. Worth a stop!

I was in Hillsboro today, but couldn’t find the museum. Comparing old google street view photos to what I saw today I now realize that the museum seems to no longer exist. The same building here in this location now has a big “no trespassing” sign instead of a “black range museum” sign. UPDATE: the museum was closed for renovation. The museum was very interesting and we even got a tour by a nice gentleman. I would totally recommend stopping by and spending some time here.
