For me, it was refreshing to see a Black owned business in historic Algiers Point. The food was superb. We had salmon sandwiches and buttermilk drops. Plus there the air African and African American history, music, art and culture. It's like an oasis in the desert. The place quenched my afrocentric thirst. My whole family enjoyed our visit. Peace and Respect.
Love the vibe here. It was always love and felt like family no matter who was here. Something about going black home I guess. The food was always good too. Nice music, books and other things to buy in the market. Wish they could open back up. Support your local small businesses!
Had a veagan hot sausage sandwich. I did not so a small piece of heaven existed!!! LOVE it!! The vibe here is you are family. Queens and kings. LOVE this joint!! Excellent service!
Vegan hot sausage and Sunday brunch will bring you back again and again. Great selection of books, natural beauty products, and Afrocentric gifts items in the shop. Your purchase funds youth programming in the neighborhood. Win win.
Great place for families, to learn about African culture, great samiches my favorite is turkey jive and yemalade drink. Live music, festivals, open mic night, poetry, a great experience.
Yummy vegan hot sausage san'mich! The turkey sandwich was good. Also, loved the rosemary lemonade iced tea!
Great place to learn about our history and culture. Our true Israelite Brothers are waking up! Also, that Pam Grier tea is like that!!!!
Friendly and courteous staff. Excellent, fresh and healthy menu!! My Soul Salmon Burger was everything!
Best spot we came across in Algiers Point. Great coffee, great people. Thank you for your hospitality.
The food is great and the ice tea Pam Greer is amazing. A peaceful environment. I loved it.
