Great place to come and spend some time researching your ancestry. The staff is most helpful and friendly. There are guest speakers each month that are most knowledgeable on their topic of discussion and take the time to share their experiences with others. There is a Quarterly Newsletter that covers various topics on past Blair County History that are quite interesting to read and explore further. It is a great way to spend some time and become educated in one's own history as well as the historic environment that surrounds us!
What a fantastic library to research your family history or really any kind of history, both in state & out of state. Folks that volunteer there are super helpful & have experience doing genealogy. It was not freezing cold or super hot like so many libraries are. Toss a few bills into the donation jar on your way out - There's always a need.. Or join & receive one of the best newsletters out there.
Good reference library for genealogy research. A little short on support staff, but the one present was knowledgeable and helpful.
Fantastic and knowledgeable staff. Incredible amount of information available. Would highly recommend a visit especially if researching anything from the deed history of your house, marriage or death records and so much more.
