Hello hello!
My name is Jackie Connolly, founder of Blank Space Customs. I started BSC in September 2017 because I wanted to share my passion to creativity and humor through clothing and home goods. I thought of the name of my shop, “Blank Space Customs”, while brainstorming. Anyone who knows me, will know of my die hard love for Taylor Swift. Hence, Blank Space. The items all start with just this – a blank space for me to put these crazy ideas. The lightbulb went off, it was perfect. Blank Space Customs was born.
I originally started this shop with a goal of producing apparel for my son and friends, but I quickly realized that awesome shirts shouldn't be limited to just us! I make shirts and goodies for every occasion that invites fun and creative ideas. Whether you want a cute t-shirt to announce you’re expecting or need several for a store opening, Blank Space has you covered. My items are designed and created with you in mind. My main goal is for each and every one of my customers to love their Blank Space product as much as I do.
My mission is simple, to make you happy! I am confident that when you receive your order from Blank Space Customs, you will open it up, and smile. I am always striving to be the best shop in town. Returns and exchange details
CANCELLATIONS:
We do not accept any cancellations once the order is placed, we might start working on your order already - yes, we do work late hours and on the weekends. The only exceptions are unforeseen events for pregnancy related sayings.
EXCHANGES:
We do accept exchanges in certain cases. Please read the following carefully for more information.
Packages returned to us without prior authorization will not be opened. Most shirts are unisex sizing, measurement charts can be provided. We can not exchange any personalized items (writing, writing color or special shirt color) or a holiday specific shirt. Once you receive our authorization to send an item back you will need to do so within 5 business days. We recommend that you purchase tracking with your return. Once we receive the returned shirt in new, unworn, unwashed, no perfume, no smoke, undamaged etc. condition, we will send you a link to purchase re-shipping. Should we consider the shirt nonreturnable because it does not fulfill above mentioned conditions, we can send it back to you, however, you will also have to pay for shipping within 5 business days again. If you fail to do so, we will donate the shirt. So please make sure that the shirt is in perfect condition before you consider an exchange.
HOLIDAY THEMED ITEMS and SALE ITEMS:
All seasonal items and sale items are non exchangeable at any time.
REFUNDS and OOPSIES
If we made a mistake, we apologize and we will work diligently with you to get the correct product to you as soon as possible. However we are unable to refund you for the order or any shipping charges, even if your event has passed. We cannot urge you enough to order in plenty of time to account for any human error.
Please inspect your package immediately after receipt. If the outer packaging is damaged and it looks like your order might be damaged or stained as well, please do not open the package but go to your local post office with it to file a claim.
In order to claim a replacement from us, follow these steps:
1) Send us a very clear picture of the damaged or wrongly sent item within 3 business days after receiving your package. After 3 business days we can no longer send out a replacement since the item could have been worn, washed and damaged in the process, no exceptions!
2) Once we review the pictures, we will ask for further information if needed, ask you to return the item(s) in question within 5 business days (before sending a new one) or just send out a new one if there are no questions.
Please do not request a replacement for items that have clearly been damaged by opening the package with scissors or have a stain that is so obvious, that it would not have been overlooked by our production/packaging team. We can identify damages quite well and it is not in our interest to refuse a replacement if we are at fault, but we will not replace products that have been damaged after they left our shop.
COLOR VARIATIONS:
Even though we try our best to provide a picture that is as close as possible to the original, some shirt and writing colors might look a little different on your screen than it does on ours. This can happen and is no reason to claim a replacement or refund.
Payment
We accept Paypal. All payments need to be received before we start working on your goodies.
For privacy and security reasons we do not have access to your payment information. If you wish to add to your order, please let us know ASAP.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Please make sure to check your messages often after you placed an order until you receive your package in case we have a question regarding your order!
TURN-AROUND TIME:
Our current processing time is about 7-10 business days, however, during pre-holiday seasons it can take a few days longer. Even though we do our best to ship your order as fast as possible.
Important: If you have a NEED-BY-DATE, please let us know at time of purchase and we will do everything in our power to get your goodies out on time. "Asap" does not expedite the processing time for your order.
SHIPPING:
If you wish to upgrade shipping or purchase shipping insurance, please message us immediately, since your package might be ready to ship earlier, please let us know you'd like to purchase the upgrade or insurance.
Most of our packages are shipped with USPS First Class.
Shipping times within the US according to USPS information (not including processing times):
First Class: 2-5 business days
Priority Mail: 2-3 business days
Express Mail: 1-2 business days
Due to time restraints we do not always send a tracking number, however, feel free to message us and we will gladly send it to you.
Shipping internationally with USPS (not including processing times):
First Class: Varies by destination, please inquire via FB message
Priority Mail: 6 - 10 business days to many major markets
Express Mail: 3 - 5 business days to many major markets
LIABILITY:
We cannot be held responsible for any lost, damaged or delayed packages once they leave our shop. You do have the option to purchase insurance (see "SHIPPING"). All shipping information is to our best knowledge and according to the information available from the USPS website. We cannot guarantee it.
INCORRECT/INCOMPLETE INPUT OF SHIPPING ADDRESS:
If you entered a wrong shipping address when ordering or you forgot to note your apt. no. at checkout and you contact us immediately after placing the order via messaging. We will do our best to accommodate that change, however we cannot guarantee it.
We are not responsible for any inconvenience, lost package, delays or extra charges that might apply for you to get the package to the new address. We really do our best to honor a change of address request but we need to trust our customers to know their correct address and input it correctly in the checkout process. If a package is returned to us, we will send you a link to purchase re-shipping to the correct address. If you fail to do so within 5 business days after we informed you about the returned package, your item/s will be donated to a charitable cause. Please make sure to double check your address including apartment number if applicable and your zip code.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
You should always follow the care instructions in the garment, however, we in addition recommend to turn your goodies inside out.
Remove all bows before washing.
RAW EDGE (SWEAT)SHIRTS :
Since the neck is cut by us in house, the opening of the neck cutout can vary from one sweatshirt to the next. Yay for handmade <3
VARIATION IN SHIRT COLORS:
While we do our best to make sure that the colors of shirts match if there is a group order of the same shirt style and color, we cannot guarantee this since we have to rely on our suppliers who sometimes die shirts in different batches and therefore they can vary slightly in shade and tone of a specific colors.
NEED BY DATE THAT REQUIRES EXPEDITED SHIPPING
If you purchased a listing with a need-by date which cannot be met with the shipping method you paid for, we will send you a listing to purchase upgraded shipping the same day. Should you not get back to us until 4 pm EST that same day, we will ship your order with the shipping method you paid for.
ORDERS OF LARGER QUANTITY:
If you are interested in a group purchase (5 or more of the same item for marathon running groups, charity walks, etc.) then please message me for additional info.
SIZING INFORMATION:
We pull all measurement charts from the manufacturer of the items.
Variations anywhere from 0.5 to 1.5 inches when the garment is laying flat are acceptable within manufacturer guidelines.
Any sizing advice we give you through messaging is purely based on previous experience and the information you provide about yourself to us. We cannot guarantee that the size we recommend will be the one that fits you best.
PHOTOGRAPHING CUSTOM ORDERS:
I reserve the right to photograph and sell all custom designs purchased in my shop unless you explicitly tell me that you do not want this.
